  This is a beautiful home with amazing views of St Thomas. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. Our 3 kids were able to share the room (thanks to the trundle beds) across from the master where we stayed. The house was large enough that you could always find a quiet place to relax. The double decks were great. I don't know which had a better view. We all loved the pool. The pictures look exactly as we found it. The rental agency Carefree Getaways was really great to work with. They even helped us obtain a rental car when our plans fell through. We all left hoping we would be back. Thanks for everything!

  My wife and I along with my family (parents,sisters,aunts) arrived at Soul Island on August 10, 2012 after much anticipation. It was the first family vacation we have ever taken and was the trip of a lifetime. The house is amazing and offers something for everyone. We spent days hanging around the pool and evenings eating home cooked dinners on the balcony at sunset. There were 12 of us ranging in age from 20-60, and throughout the week the home provided a great areas to congregate and make plans and was conveniently located in the island so that we were never far from the beaches or from hiking trails, or a restaurant. The home was fully stocked with dishes, essential cooking supplies, towels, etc. There were also lots of games, movies, whole house sound system, and fresh fruit growing on the trees outside. There is also a drawer in the house with all kinds of brochures and pamphlets if you are interested in booking an excursion of some sort. One of the neatest things was a huge guest book where people have stayed and left intimate details of their time spent on the island and at soul island house. Reading though the books gives you a great idea of snorkeling spots, great places to dine, but also makes you realize how great the house is and how many great times have been had at the home. The owners have done a fantastic job and make booking and arriving a very easy process. We hope to return again as soon as it is possible. On a random note, the beds are comfortable, the baths are great and the house is just very very roomy and has a great feel to it. We can't wait to return!!

  We took our honeymoon to Soul Island and it will never be forgotten. We were only two in this massive house that sleeps 12 and we were so spoiled. We got up every morning to an amazing view, lounged around on the huge deck and took an adventure to any one of the awesome beaches. We loved St. John, but always wanted to be back at the house for sunset. St. John can keep you so busy, but you don't even need to leave Soul Island because you have the best view, an awesome pool, jacuzzi on the deck, sunsets, and great amenities. The kitchen is full of anything you need. The bathrooms are gorgeous. What a treat! The owner was a great guy and hope to meet him one day and go back:)

  An excellent house to rent. Stayed here for 8 nights in June with 9 people. Plenty of room. Kitchen had everything you could want. Also plenty of beach chairs and coolers to take to the beach. Well supplied with towels and linens. Great place..super clean..

  Soul Island is a spacious, beatifully appointed 4 bedroom home suitable for AT LEAST eight people. THere are 2 floors with 2 bedrooms on each floors and would be ideal for a large family or for multiple families travelling together. We have been to St John many times and the gorgeous sunset views from Soul Island can not be beat! Dave, the owner, was also a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay here again if we were travelling with a large group!

  Great house!! We traveled with 8 adult children and the accommodations were perfect. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. Everything we needed was there. Some favorites: Eating dinner out on the balcony [and coffee every morning out on the balcony] Amazing view!! with no bugs! The pool/hot tub The view... A different beach every day A different trail to hike every day Exploring the island Woodies and Skinny Legs We'll definitely be back - and we'd love to stay at Soul Island again.   dave, thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. it was amazing. the sunsets were worth the trip by themselves. the quiet and peacefulness of the house are delightful. paca from care fre getaways was very helpful. cant wait to come back.
