This brand new villa was completed in 2008. It has stunning sunset views of St Thomas and Great Cruz Bay. This modern home that goes by the name "Soul Island" features granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
Marble flooring and 2 story wood ceilings add to the Caribbean feel that flows thought this gorgeous home. No expense was sparred including redwood doors to create this tropical paradise.
The house features 4 separate bedrooms with their own baths and HD flat screen TV's with DVD players. The 2 masters have 4 poster beds and tempurpedic mattress's . The 3rd bedroom features a queen size bed and the 4th features 2 twin sleigh beds with trundles allowing 4 to sleep comfortable.
The home sleeps up to 125 with 1 queen pullout couche and day bed. There is 2 separate living rooms with HD flat screen TV's and PlayStation for the kids. We also have a ping pong table that hides away when not using it. The lower level family room is right off the pool deck and has a it's own refrigerator and plenty of seating lending itself to entertainment. We are kid friendly and have lots of extra things for the little ones.
There is a huge pool and a hub tub on the balcony. Large double loungers make sunbathing even more comfortable, while surrounded by beautiful tropical flowers and pristine landscaping. The sound system has speakers outside around the balcony and pool. The house is extremely private with not many neighbors close.

Why the Owner Chose Gift Hill
One of our family members learned to cook in St. John and resided there for 4 years. After many vacations, we knew it was the perfect spot for our second home. 3/4 of the island is a US National Park. This creates a perfect play ground to explore the beaches, ocean and peaceful community. The hedonistic vibe of the locals and great restaurants create a great atmosphere. Short boating trips to other islands make this US territory even more attractive.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our family has been vacationing in St. John for 17 years. We bought this brand new home in 2008 and couldn't be happier! The views of the sunset and privacy of the lot are priceless. Bannana and Payua Trees surround the property. The beautiful flowers and landscaping and wildlife ie. deer, iguanas, geckos and hummingbirds surround the property. The location of the house on a high ridge allow for trade winds and a perfect spot to watch the boats floating around the island.

We are a family of six with small children. We live in Baltimore, MD and own a restaurant called Mother's. We come to St. John 2 or 3 times a year and never get bored. Our very active children enjoy the pool, hottub, ping pong table and wildlife surrounding the home. We encourage you to treat our house like your own and would be happy to assist in making your vacation plans.

Soul Island is a spacious, beatifully appointed 4 bedroom home suitable for AT LEAST eight people. THere are 2 floors with 2 bedrooms on each floors and would be ideal for a large family or for multiple families travelling together. We have been to St John many times and the gorgeous sunset views from Soul Island can not be beat! Dave, the owner, was also a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely stay here again if we were travelling with a large group!

Great house!! We traveled with 8 adult children and the accommodations were perfect. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. Everything we needed was there. Some favorites: Eating dinner out on the balcony [and coffee every morning out on the balcony] Amazing view!! with no bugs! The pool/hot tub The view... A different beach every day A different trail to hike every day Exploring the island Woodies and Skinny Legs We'll definitely be back - and we'd love to stay at Soul Island again. dave, thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. it was amazing. the sunsets were worth the trip by themselves. the quiet and peacefulness of the house are delightful. paca from care fre getaways was very helpful. cant wait to come back.
