Why the Owner Chose Cornerstone
We have been vacationing in Northwest Colorado for many years both in summer and winter. We first visited Steamboat Springs in the winter of 1984. We have skied at different resorts in Colorado as well as in the Alps and always found that we had the best time at Steamboat. We really like the consistently excellent snow and the friendly people there. The lower elevation is a plus compared to other resorts in Colorado, as we can enjoy our vacation without needing to acclimatize. It is easy to fly into Steamboat. Occasionally we drive from Denver. It is a lovely three hour scenic drive. We always go to Steamboat Lake in the summer. The hiking and biking opportunities are unlimited. Snowmobiling at Rabbit Ears Pass in the winter is a blast. Steamboat offers vacation opportunities for all seasons.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
Our home is within walking distance of the ski resort base. It is located on the quiet side of the mountain village in a neighborhood setting. We are a few steps from the free city shuttle stop. There is no construction nearby. The large pool and the hot tubs are in great condition and fun year round. In the summer we can sit on the outdoor patio and cook on the gas grill. In the fall the foliage is breathtaking. The house is spacious and everyone can have their own room. We have enjoyed many evenings watching sporting events together on the big screen TVs.
City Market Groceries, Wal Mart, Liquor Store, Blockbuster Video, Christy Sports, and more
Marina, hiking, Dutch Creek Ranch (restaurant and horseback riding)
Owner's Map of Cornerstone
We have three children who range in age from 14 to 20. Our kids learned to ski at the Steamboat Ski School. We enjoy together all the lovely outdoor opportunities this mountain area has to offer. We especially like hiking, skiing, fishing, and swimming in the hot springs.

This was our third visit to what our children are starting to call "our Colorado home". I know, soon they will realize that we are not the lucky owners, but until then I am the hero!!! Our family loves everything about this home, it is laid out perfectly for family fun. The decoration is mountain luxurious, just the right amount of wood and leather. The two master bedrooms are large with good size restrooms. The home is a skip and a hop from the Gondola nestled in a quiet neighborhood. It is perfectly located for summer and winter activities. The owners have always treated us like royalty, they are a pleasure to deal with and always accommodating. We simply love everything about "our Colorado home".

This is a great home. We were in Steamboat between Christmas and New Years so our twenty something children could ski. They said this was the best skiing they have ever experienced. We were two families and the house was perfect for us. The kitchen gathering area is just right. There was plenty of bedroom space for everyone. We cooked all of our meals in the modern kitchen, which is a nice size for two busy cooks simultaneously. The kitchen equipment was complete and high quality. Dishes, linens, towels, etc. are amply provided and high quality. Many basic cooking necessities were available in the pantry-- spices, oil, vinegar, flour, sugar, etc. I often get up early and start breakfast before anyone else is up. In other houses we have rented this often disturbed the rest of the family. But, the design of this house is such that someone shuffling around in the kitchen will not wake everyone else up. The shuttle transportation is about 200 ft from the house. But, we spoiled our boys by driving them to and from the slopes. It took about 5 minutes to accomplish the drop off. Hurray for cell phones. Our boys(19, 21,23) used the hot tub every night. The entertainment opportunities in the home are extensive. There is a cable TV in the gathering area with over a hundred channels. Almost too complicated for some of us less tech-savvy older folks. Every bedroom has a TV with standard cable and DVD capability. The second floor has a large common room with several couches and chairs and a large screen TV with a DVD. The owners provide an extensive DVD collection. There is also a fine selection of books and games. The house has extremely fast wireless internet throughout. The owners were remarkably prompt in their email correspondence with us. They also provide cell phone contacts, both local and directly with them. We had one minor repair issue and the cordial maintenance man came within an hour. The home is extensively labeled. This makes it easy to use anything in the house and avoids misunderstandings. Our group had two vehicles. We used the garage as a ski changing area. We parked one vehicle on the short driveway and the second in the parking area across the street. If your party has more than two vehicles, parking might get tight in the peak winter season. There is a family warmth about this home that we have not felt with other properties we have leased in Colorado. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

What a Wonderful Summer Stay!

Our June 2010 trip to Steamboat Springs was enhanced by this beautiful property. There were two families; three adults and six kids (ages 18 -> 7). Having a choice of masters was wonderful for the parents and the kids all loved their rooms. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out, the kids took over the upstairs lounge area leaving the kitchen and living area for the adults! The decor is appropriate - casual but tasteful, high-end but comfortable. A lot of thought went into each room! A favorite was the kitchen bar seating in the AM and the huge dining table which seated us all! Everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained. And we did use the washer/dryer that were so nice, we wanted to go home and buy our own! All of the amenities were quality; fluffy luxurious towels, amazing bedding, and kitchen appointments to die for. Having two cooks, we used and enjoyed the quality cookware! And there were games, books, music, and movies to enjoy. Even cookbooks! We swam in the pool most every afternoon and enjoyed the hot tubs as well. We loved the gorgeous hanging baskets and the floral plantings around the complex. There is plenty to do in Steamboat and the owners provided a library of current activity guides, hiking guides, and other information. This really helped us decide on outings! Our arrangements were a snap, communications were quick and painless, and we appreciated the owner's efforts to help make our trip so memorable. We'd go back in a heartbeat but will enjoy our memories until then!

What a beautiful mountain retreat! All furnishings from furniture, linens to kitchen essentials are top quality. We have stayed in other VRBO listings, but they do not compare to this unit. Everything is new, very clean and well maintained. We loved the location as it is close to shops, restaurants and outdoor activities. We had four couples and enjoyed ample space for visiting, dining and relaxing. We highly recommend this fabulous townhouse.

This was a gorgeous home that had everything we could ever want. This large home allowed my family of four and my brothers family of 5 to all stay together and each of us have our own space. A short walk to the wonderful pool. This property has all the feelings of a home. This was truly a week to remember. The house was exquisite in every way. A wonderful patio to sit out and enjoy the sunshine. Being able to grill out was fantastic.. Thank you so much for all the wonderful amentities and for allowing us to use your home.

This Colorado townhome is gorgeous, organized and comfortable. Our group of nine, including four adults and five kids ranging in age from 2-13 years of age, was completely thrilled with the accomodations and could not have asked for a more welcoming place to stay. Everyone was amazed by the beauty of the home as well as the surroundings. The area has abundant activities for families: we hiked, white-water rafted, swam, rode down the "Alpine Slide", took in the local rodeo, mini-golfed, visited the Mustang Round-Up and much more. When we weren't out and about, we simply enjoyed the living space where we played games and relaxed. It was such a wonderful summer week, we didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this property and we are looking forward to returning there soon!

The internet photos do not adequately depict the size and quality of this home. We had 2 families totaling 10 people (all teens or older) and fit very comfortably in the house. The quality of the home and furnishings are high-end, it was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen is very well provisioned. It is just around the corner from the base of the ski resort and very close to grocery stores, restaurants and pharmacies. The downtown area is about 5 minutes by car. Over all the home is a gem and I recommend it highly.

This was our first visit to Colorado. We absolutely loved Steamboat and especially loved this property. It has been beautifully maintained and has a great floor plan. We were just one family of 5 that rented the house, but it is very suitable for mulitple families because of the 3 master bedrooms. The house is equiped with every amenity and is very conveniently located to the grocery store, downtown Steamboat, fishing, hiking, biking trails, etc. The owners were fabulous to work with and clearly have made their property very inviting.

This home was perfect for four families for our Christmas Holiday at Steamboat. It is very spacious and well appointed. It has a terrific location nearby the ski mountain. The Kitchen and Dining area are wide open and easy to relax and enjoy the terrific views. We did a lot of cooking and celebrating in the home. The bedrooms and baths were terrific as well. The owner was very helpful in getting us to the home and giving information to prepare us for our stay. A home we will highly recommend and will consider again when returning to Steamboat.
