11 Bis rue Amélie - Paris 7th
4th floor with elevator
This 300 square foot apartment is located in a well maintained 1860 building, which access is protected by a via a coded door. The apartment is on the 4th floor with elevator.
It is fully-furnished and was completely renovated in 2006.
It is a superb value when compared to the accommodations available in nearby hotels in the 7th arrondissement.
The apartment is located in the area of *“The Gros Caillou”* in the seventh district.
This area has become extremely popular as a base for visiting Paris. Just 500 yards from Napoleon’s tomb at les Invalides, just over half a mile from the foot of the Eiffel tower and extremely close to the busy shopping street of rue St Dominique, the apartment has the advantage of being one block from rue Cler, the celebrated pedestrian street market of the seventh district. Here, Parisians and visitors alike gather to enjoy the restaurants, fresh market produce and busy atmosphere of this car-free cobbled street.
The front door of the apartment leads to a brand new clean white kitchen, with an oak work surface and marble floor. There is a clothes washer and dryer, microwave oven, refrigerator extractor hood and ceramic stove. The main room has oak parquet floor, and two windows.
A sofa bed, double “Murphy” bed, coffee table and dining table with four chairs are available.
There is plenty of storage for small items and a closet to hang clothes. Suitcases can be stored in a large overhead locker.
An LCD television with cable channels in English and other languages, and a high speed internet connection are included as is the phone for local calls. The bathroom is white-tiled with beveled “metro” tiles. A full-sized tub, sink and toilet are provided.

The location was great but that was all. there were no instructions to operate anything. The washer/dryer and the phone did not work so we could not call the owner nor could we receive phone calls. We requested for my brother to see the place before hand and the owners did not respond. We had said we wanted 2 beds and on arrival there were only linens for one. And the quilt had not been cleaned. with the Murphy bed down there was no room for the sofa bed. There was no storage place for luggage or a place for clothes. This place is for 1 or a married couple only.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This studio is located in one of our favorite neighborhoods, just a few blocks from the hotel we usually stay at. This is the first time we used VRBO and were very pleased with our choice. The studio is true to images posted on the website, and again the location is excellent. There was plenty of room for two people to move about and overall the building tennants are fairly quiet. Close to several metro and bus stops; there are plenty of markets, restaurants, and shops in the neighborhood to keep you busy for weeks. The Musee Rodin is a pleasant ten (10) minute stroll from your door step, also check out the local boule games on Saturdays at the Esplanade Invalides. The owners responded promptly to our initial request and were friendly and helpful upon arrival. As our stay was for one (1) month, the washer/dryer was a wonderful plus. P.S. Cafe Roussillon on rue Grenelle is a great lunch or dinner spot, the Raviloi St. Jaques is tres magnifique.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

A friend and I just spent a week at this apartment in Paris (September, 2010) and it was fantastic. The owners were super friendly and helpful and responded to our needs quickly. They showed us around the neighbourhood which includes some fabulous shopping and eating - all extremely close by. The apartment had everything we needed (apart from a kettle but we managed to happily boil away on the stove top). The lift was extremely handy given the amount of luggage we had. Only a 5 min walk from the Metro and about 10 mins from the Eiffel Tower, I'd highly recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Studio was exactly as described (except not "Full kitchen" as there is no oven) and shown in photos. It is small but quite lovely, clean, pleasant and served us well for our 1 week stay. Bed was very comfortable. DSL was very fast. TV is very small, but we never wanted to watch TV anyway. Location is wonderful, very near Rue Cler market street (don't miss that cheese shop). Stop for Bus #69 (which was our main transport to major museums, but remember no service on Sundays/holidays) and several great bakeries are 1 minute away on Rue Saint-Dominique. Metro stops not so close. Street and bldg were quiet. You can walk to Seine in 10-15 minutes. Owners are native English speakers and were extremely friendly and helpful. Note that kitchen has no oven, only stovetop, and few pans and utensils. Be sure to get instructions on operating the washer/dryer - it is complex and the printed manual is NOT enough. Rental agency manager Pascal was super helpful and friendly in answering all questions and making arrangements.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6
