There are over 4000 acres of wildlife sanctuaries (for bird watchers or hikers); nearby 3000 acres abut this neighborhood.

Ninget Park is one and one-half miles away and offers a new playground, fishing access, nature trails, swimming lagoon, tennis courts, bike path, soccer fields, Frisbee golf, and more. Restaurants and nightlife are not far off with Foxwoods, the world's largest casino, 20 minutes away, and Mystic, Connecticut and Newport, Rhode Island only 30 minutes away. The home is two miles from East Beach / Blue shutters Beach.
