Welcome to CASA PACIFICA. Be captivated by the tranquility and lush tropical gardens of your secluded "jungle" oceanfront paradise. A few minutes walk through green foliage and palms brings you to the waves at hidden Carricitos Beach, a little known secret. Only one kilometer from the plaza in Sayulita but feels like a million miles away. Just south, past Villa Amor and Muertos Beach about the same distance to the plaza as from the north end of town.
Three private suites allow you to take advantage of sunny days, expansive vistas of jungle, ocean and beach with soothing sounds of breaking surf. Very few homes dot this protected ecological preserve amidst tall swaying palms, tropical plants and flowers. We are part of the largest forest in Mexico. Ocean views from every room let you watch whales spout and dolphins at play. Not only do you have full sunsets, even in winter, but enjoy the elusive "green flash" when the sun slips into the ocean.
This is a nature lover's paradise. Enjoy the vibrant colored butterflies, hummingbirds, parrots, warblers, and woodpeckers as well as the scented gardens of plumeria and jasmine. Pick mangoes, bananas, and papayas from the garden. Enjoy walking through multi-colored heliconia and ginger under canopies of 50' palms. Even when indoors you feel part of the outdoor landscape amidst the five spacious terraces and walls of tall glass doors and windows.
The BEACH VIEW SELF-CONTAINED BUNGALOW is partially open-air. A grand 40'x15' palapa covers and cools the main living and dining area and offers spectacular ocean and surf views. We now have the king bedroom with its sitting area and pass through bar from the kitchen fully enclosed with three more arched, wooden screen door sets for your comfort. Glass doors on the entry side of the bedroom offer protection from any rain and opens out onto a sun terrace. The main entry is through arched double wooden doors with high sculpted walls. A large mango tree stands sentry.
The bungalow's kitchen is fully stocked with the basics including coffee maker, toaster, blender, juicer, microwave, etc.. The same artist painted the bathroom's double sink basins to match his hand painted tropical waterfall design in the shower. If you are looking for a romantic tuck-away you will feel a special connectedness to nature, a sensual treat along with the design, color and lighting of the bungalow for those special evenings. We like to stock the cupboards and refrigerator with some items so you won't have (or want) to leave for a couple of days. We supply ice for those cool, frothy drinks.
The SPACIOUS, MAIN LEVEL OF THE VILLA has 1 bedroom (king beds), 1+ bath with two sinks, and an open-aire palapaed kitchen which can be enclosed with tall bifold glass doors. The stunning 2-l/2 story livingroom palapa 'ceiling' keeps you cool all year round. A tastefully designed tropical jungle theme is carried throughout. The livingroom can be fully enclosed with screen and glass doors which spill out westward onto a large terrace for outdoor dining, entertaining and sunning. The livingroom's north side has large sliding glass wood frame doors which open up to your 'private' tropical garden area.
The airy PENTHOUSE SUITE, mostly glass amid the canopy treetops, feels like a 'bird's nest'. It has a king size bed, full bath with two travertine sinks, a large shower area and 2 ocean view sun terraces. One terrace has a palapa and the other is partially shaded by a pergola with a built-in bar and BBQ underneath. The ceiling has two separate curved brick ceilings designed by a local Huichol artisan.
Each level has their own private entrance and stairway. It is an ideal vacation for one couple, family, or friends as everyone has their own PRIVATE area. We love art and Mexico's unique tropical architectural details - we hope you enjoy the experience our house provides. Several bathrooms have whimsically embedded custom glass-tiled artwork on the shower floors. One bathroom has an onxy sink with a glass waterfall faucet over 'beach glass' with its theme carried into the shower area. Another shower has a large custom jungle/waterfall tile design with matching sinks.
For your comfort and convenience we include a massage table, l00% high thread count cotton sheets and towels, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, a WAVE surfboard, quality cookware, Baby-Q BBQ, gourmet spices, a vegetable juicer and a powerful Vitamix mixer for those perfectly blended margaritas. A Pelican water purification system with salt-free water softner and UV will keep your skin soft after a day out in the sun and salt air. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The main level refrigerator is a large double door with freezer below to hold lots of ice!
We also have North American Satelite TV (almost all stations including ESPN, HBO, movies), high speed internet, DVD player, iPod dock, and free phone incoming/outgoing to US and Canada. Most items mentioned above are in the bungalow as well. Please ask to make sure what could be available to you. So relax, soak in the ambiance...listen to the sounds of the sea. Enjoy Sayulita town but you'll be happy to return to the romantic, tranquil, private atmosphere of CASA PACIFICA.

Why the Owner Chose Sayulita
We have searched for exactly this spot: on the waterfront, in a special jungled paradise, away from the world yet close enough to a small town (l kilometer) and only 45 minutes (20 miles) to Central Puerto Vallarta. We love Mexico; the art, architecture, culture, the warm generous spirit of the Mexican people. Before coming here we lived in the Caribbean for l0 years and ran a sailboat charter operation, 65' VERANO SIN FINAL. After that sojourn we were delighted to find this spot while spending a year traveling through all of Mexico once again, wondering if we had missed anything. We enjoy fresh fish and this town is a fishing village, very laid back. Surfing has been a part of our lives and it is fun to have breakfast on the beach and watch the early morning surfers. We have wonderful yet 'hidden' neighbors - so what could be better?
The Unique Benefits at this House
PRIVACY & TRANQUILITY. Watching the sailboats, whales, dolphins, surfers on the beach below. We enjoy putting in the 2 kayaks and traveling to remote beaches. We found white coral sand and coral reefs south of our area so now we feel we have part of the Caribbean with us.

Our main home is in San Diego, California and we have always camped in Baja and the mainland of Mexico searching for perfect waves, beaches and great hospitality of the Mexican people. We sailed down here a few times and enjoy the area with its many tuck-aways bays to anchor. We especially like the rustic, toes in the sand restaurants with cold beer and margaritas. The whole Nayarit coast to San Blas has wonderful little places to discover; San Pancho (3 miles north), Lo De Marco (l2 miles up), etc.
