Mizzentop's Cottage was once the laundry house for one of Bar Harbor's premier historic estates. It was moved to its present location in the 1930' s, which is very fortunate because had it not been moved, it would have been destroyed by the Great Fire of 1947.

Year Purchased: 1994
I grew up in Bar Harbor and my husband came here to work one summer after college, and then never left! We thoroughly enjoy sharing the grace and beauty of our home town with others. Bar Harbor is very much a "walking town" with lots of unique shops and wonderful restaurants to explore. Right next door is Acadia National Park, a showcase for Maine's rugged shoreline, evergreen covered mountains, and the most exquisite sunrise in the U.S. Tour Acadia by foot, bike, or guided trolley. The natural setting and cultural heritage of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are truly unmatched.
