"We love staying at Rocko's cottage. It's got everything you need for comfort including air conditioning, comfy beds, cable tv, good size kitchen, etc. It's clean & convenient to downtown but away from the noise. So easy to walk to the village green & use the shuttle service. A lovely park in the other direction. Love staying here. Lisa is available for anything but never intrusive. Highly recommend Rocko's cottage"

"This was our family's first visit to Maine and Acadia. Renting this house was the best plan we made for the trip. The quiet serenity, the wildlife, and the scenery were all amazing. The house is rustic like a cabin and well equipped like a family home. We spent our mornings watching harbor seals and identifying birds including bald eagles, osprey, loons, cormorants, various woodpeckers (including a pileated pair), kingfishers, and forest songbirds. An eagle landed in a tree right off the deck when were were eating our first breakfast. We were visited by deer and red squirrels. We hated to leave and cannot wait to return. Tern II is an enchanting place to spend a week or more. Definitely bring binoculars, even if you are not an active birder. Also: The restaurants in the small towns around the island are outstanding. Red Sky and Sips in Southwest Harbour are excellent, just to name two."

"Everything about this house was just perfect, from the fully stocked kitchen (including a dishwasher!!) to the comfortable living room and the spacious bedrooms. The house backs up to the woods, and we saw deer back there many times. You can sit and eat on the deck or on a lower patio right next to the woods. The best part is that you are so close to downtown Bar Harbor, yet the house is located in a very quiet neighborhood. We were able to get downtown in 2 minutes. We were also able to easily get to many of our favorite hikes on the island in no time at all. Even crossing over to the west side of the island is quick because you're right off of 233. I recommend this place very highly. We had a wonderful week!"

"We loved the house! Slept our family of 5 with room to spare (2 adults, and 3 teenage sons). Awesome, HUGE deck, VERY comfortable mattresses, clean, clean, clean! This place was great. All the kitchen appliances you would need and more. We met family there for a mini family reunion and they rented out 2 of the other houses on the property. Our house, being the biggest, was the meeting place every day and night and definitely was perfect for that. The shared pool is amazing and also very large. We loved it and wouldn't have changed anything. Very close proximity to Acadia National Park and also Bar Harbour"
