Cozy Cottage on Western Bay
"We had such a great time staying in this cozy cottage. The sunroom overlooking the water was my favorite place to sit. We saw seals playing and the fog rolling in at night. At high tide, you can hear the water from the master bedroom which just lulled us to sleep. The kitchen has everything you need to cook meals if you want. Although there is not a washer and dryer, the kitchen sink is plenty big to rinse out a few items of clothes. Also, there is no wifi or TV which we thought was a bonus and we didn't miss either one at all! There is a radio so we listened to music. Cell service (Verizon) worked great! You can rent kayaks from a local company that will deliver right to the cabin (or bring your own) so we enjoyed the Western Bay waterfront access from the cabin. The cabin is located on a very quiet road and only 7 miles from the main entrance to Acadia National Park, 9 miles to Bar Harbor, and 10 miles to Ellsworth. We did not have any traffic to deal with. Lots of restaurants nearby and an IGA grocery that has everything else you might need. They even sell spirits and Maine's famous blueberry wine. Thank you Pat and Bob for sharing your cabin and we hope we can get to Maine again soon. There are many more hiking trails that we need to do."

"The Blue Rose Cottage was exactly as described and perfect for our stay. Very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Location was great- just a short walk to everything. We had wonderful weather and were able to fully enjoy being outside. We love Bar Harbor and the park; it is such a beautiful place."

"This cottage was everything we were looking for in our Main vacation. It's off the beaten path and away from tourists but close enough to enjoy all the amenities of Bar Harbor.it's located in a very quiet secluded area and has a spectacular view. It happened to be unseasonably cold while we were there, so,we did not get to Open the cottage windows and enjoy the ocean breeze. We did, however, thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace. Laura is an excellent hostess and always promptly responded to my emails. She also has many great restaurant suggestions. We enjoyed the cottage so much, my mother rented the cottage next year, and we hope to join her during her time there."

"We came here for an annual Girls Getaway. There were 6 of us and the house worked even better than we thought it would. Sherri met us and showed us around the house. It's so roomy. Everyone was able to have their separate beds. We had brunch in the sunny dining room and morning coffee on the front porch. Loved the convenience of a washer and dryer. It was very clean and furnished nicely. The location is perfect. We walked all around Bar Harbor and every evening to our favorite pubs. Everything is steps away. We drove to Arcadia Park and surrounding towns and just love everything about this area. Thank you Sherri for making ours a great memorable vacation with this beautiful house."
