We have built a brand new comfortable secluded style home in the volcano fern forest. We love spending time here for the quiet atmosphere, fireside experience and relaxed peaceful getaway feeling. We want to share it with you in hopes that you will find this too. This is the 'Big Island' and if you are visiting Kona, it's a long drive to circle the island in one day, so making a couple nights stay in the Volcano area at our place will be the ideal way to do it.

There is so much to see and do at the Volcano National Park, not to mention visiting Hilo and the beaches there. Or just 'Stay Ohia' like we do to relax and enjoy the fern forest and quiet. Our place is full of the best that we always wanted in a get away cabin, such as pine walls, black granite counter tops, slate and tigerwood floors, stainless steel appliances and the latest in media entertainment, all the way from the old fashion record player to a large flat screen high definition tv, Ipod docking and the ability to see your computer on the tv for slide shows of your most recent trips.

  • We went over for a quick trip from HNL to visit the volcano. We arrived at the home and immediately felt right at home. The house was super clean and stocked with everything that we could possibly need. I only wish we needed to stay longer. From the linens to the treats in the freezer, our stay at this home was perfect. Thank you for making such a quick trip easy and enjoyable. I will definitely stay here again when I take a trip to the Big Island.

  • A big "Mahalo" to Liz and Mike! We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin and Liz's little touches made us feel right at home. The cabin was fully equipped with anything we might possibly need during our stay (including torches to visit the Lava Viewing area at night!!). We only wish we had more time to spend in the Volcano area, so we could spend more time relaxing in the cabin! Thanks again, Adrienne and Dave Young.
