Had a wonderful stay at the Jungalo! Well appointed, beautiful house and location. Very quiet and relaxing. Anita was super responsive and helpful throughout. Would 100% stay again. Very close to VNP.
The home is beautiful and Anita left the lights on for us which was great because we came in late. The fireplace is perfect for a cozy night and the heated blankets were welcoming
This was a great little spot to use as a home base while exploring the national park. The host was excellent. She always responded quickly to inquiries which was so comforting. There was a gas powered wood stove like heater that was heaven while we were there in February.
The Jungalow was really cute and welcoming. The environment was extremely peaceful. My family especially loved the heated blankets…my daughter didn’t want to leave! Thank you for a great place to stay while visiting the volcanoes.
We loved our stay at the Jungalow. The rainforest location is beautiful and Volcano National Park is just minutes away. The fireplace was a welcomed amenity after a busy day exploring and the beds were so comfy.
The house is beautiful and clean, the host communicated well, the kitchen is well-stocked, the fireplace made the living room cozy, and the electric blankets were perfect for sleeping. The location was ideal for us so we could go back and forth to the park in just a few minutes. The wifi works fine, too. I would gladly come back.
The jungalow was a beautiful and clean home, well appointed and just minutes away from the national park.

Everything was great. Clean and nice cottage with 3 bedrooms, 5 minutes from Volcano NP. Only complaint is the water pressure for showers seemed low but may be perfectly normal for the area. So wasn’t a big deal.
We enjoyed our one night stay. This property is really close to the park.

About the host

My husband and I are born and bred Midwesterners. We both have backgrounds in architecture and design as well as a shared love of nature, art, and travel. We recently inherited the Jungalow, a family home which has been in the family since 2014. We hope you enjoy your stay and all the beauty Volcano has to offer.
Why they chose this property
We love the natural setting that surrounds the Jungalow as well as the interior features such as high ceilings clad in wood, an open floor plan and the cozy gas fireplace. Both the interior and exterior of the Jungalow have been lovingly restored over the past year. The home's proximity to Volcanoes National Park and attractions surrounding Hilo make the Jungalow a perfect home base for exploring the area. We enjoy hearing what drew other neighbors to the area and love the relaxed way of life the area offers.
What makes this property unique
I feel the attention to detail sets the Jungalow apart from other homes in the area. From the carefully chosen artwork to the fresh orchids, every detail of the Junglaow was carefully planned and thought out.
