We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as there was every possible amenity available to us. We brought our four year old and our mother and there was plenty of room for everyone. We took the upstairs for us and let grandma have the downstairs. We made use of the bikes and loved sitting on the porch. The decor is very pleasant and gives you the feeling that a lot of thought was put into each room. If we needed to walk to town or the beach, the five minute walk was no problem at all.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children.

The Howard house was made to feel as it was our second home. It exceeded all of our expectations. The warmth, decoration, and amenities were second to none. Great location in a lovely neighborhood! Walking distance to all, the beach, pier, light house and downtown. Truly a great get away for anyone. Kind regards, Bob & AnnieRecommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

An old house, expertly re-habbed to include all of the comforts of modern living in a quiet, quaint neighborhood. Three blocks from downtown (shops and restaurants), two blocks from the harbor, and three blocks from publicly-owned wooded dunes which are great for hiking, walking the dog, and bird-watching. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Our stay at the Howard House was truly heavenly. We LOVE the decorating touches and all the renovations in this beautifully restored historic home. Stained glass decorations, framed 1889 newspapers found in the walls when the owners were renovating, clocks galore, antiques, whimsical signs - everywhere you look there are lovely appointments. The bathrooms are gorgeous with nice big fluffy absorbent towels. With seven adults, we never ran out of hot water! Water pressure in the bathrooms are great! Delightful kitchen, gorgeous counter tops, all the important appliances. There is a great selection of DVD's for movie watching. Everyone said how comfortable the beds were and how impeccably clean the home is. The open air deck off the upstairs bedroom is a huge plus. It even has a table and chairs out there for coffee. Big back patio with large table and chairs is another eating option. It is within walking distance of the musical fountain and the restaurant Porto Bello's. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and definitley plan a return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Our visit to the Howard House made a truly memorable Thanksgiving! The amenities are contemporary but the atmosphere is historic. Even though the weather was cold, we were cozy and comfortable, enjoying our time together in such a clean and lovely home. A traditional Thanksgiving dinner was prepared without a hitch in the marvelously appointed kitchen, the beds were great and the showers were always warm! And our Saturday football was enjoyed on the flat screen TV. Lots of little touches make it very homelike. Grand Haven is a lovely place to visit, we enjoyed many walks with our two dogs. Many thanks to the Tom Pushaw family!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3
