Relax in this upper level unit that offers fabulous views of the ocean, with views of Molokani'i and Lanai'i directly in front. Enjoy watching the whale activity, that starts in November through April, as they migrate to the shallow waters of Maui.
Unit is fully equipped with fabulous custom kitchen for cooking in unit or use of the outside BBQ area. Washer and Dryer are in unit. Restaurants, grocery store and local farmers market are minutes away as you will find many selections just down the road.
This is a very quite, laid back place to visit. There are only a totlal of 50 units on the property and most of the time the complex is half full at one time. You can expect plenty of piece and quite while enjoying your stay. Please note: Bed has a firm Mattress.

This review is very late, as we stayed there in February 2011 and as we are in the process of making plans to return later this year, I thought I should take the time to share our wonderful experience. I have lived on Maui, know my way around and usually stayed at another condo unit on Kaanapali Beach..but we waited to long last year and everything was booked-up and decided this condo was the best we could find and decided to try something different. When we arrived...we were wowed!! The condo itself is top notch beautiful and looking out the windows to the lanai overlooking the ocean is like having your own picture perfect mural in front of you. From the lanai we enjoyed many sunsets, meals & whale watching every day as Februrary is the peak of whale season. One reason for choosing this condo is I must have a pool/hot tub that overlooks the ocean, as I am not a fan of swimming in the ocean, but after living there and many visits this is the first time I enjoyed it due to the small beach and perfect swim area. You are less than a 10 minute drive to Kaanapali Beach and just a few more minutes to Front Street. We are soo happy that we missed out on what would have been our original condo choices and ended up here, we can't imagine staying anywhere else.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband & I are just packing to leave this unit and I'm thinking of how much we have come to truly love this unit and its location. The beachfront is fabulous for swimming, boogie-boarding, whale watching, learning to surf….and so much more. The unit we have enjoyed and are grateful for all the luxurious touches. The location itself is walking distance to the Farmers Market, the ABC Store, and much more. We could find everything we needed within walking distance. Having said this, we're moderately fit and love to walk. If you like fish: the Mahi Mahi Lemon Caper Sautee from Okazuya is a fantastic take-away. I've left the pamphlet in the unit. The unit owner has been wonderful. It has been a pleasure renting this unit and we recommend it highly.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

About the owner: This unit is very special to us, and we request that guests please treat it as if it were their very own home. The unit was completely gutted and re-modeled and is now one of the nicest units in the resort.
Why the Owner Chose Honokowai:
This small resort is realy a secret to most. There are only two buildings on the property consisting of 25 units in each building. It feels like you have your own priviate beach, pool and hot tub. The grounds are very clean and well maintained. Most visitors end up returning year after year to spend their vacation in this wonderful place in Maui.

Property is conveniently located close to farmers market, restaurants, shops, workout facilities and golf course. With a private beach, pool and hot tub, you may find that you will not leave the resort very often. The out side BBQ's also provide for a great evening of grilling while watching the beautiful sunsets!
