This was the PERFECT get-away! We went just for a long weekend but can't wait to go back for an extended stay! So relaxing and beautiful. The cabin is right on the river & it has a covered back deck. We did several things while we were there (like riding the Great Smokey Mtn Railroad that runs next to the Nanatahal Gorge, hiked to Anna Ruby Falls, & Oktoberfest in Helen, GA) but we enjoyed being at the cabin the most!Did you find this review helpful? We absolutely loved this cabin! It was better than the pictures portray. So comfortable that you felt right at home. Has everything you could possibly need or want for a great stay. There are a lot of things to do in the area. You really don't have to stray to far. I think one of our favorite things was going to Brasstown on Friday night to Clay's Corner and listening to the local pickers playing folk/bluegrass music. Would love to come back!!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We loved this cabin. It was clean, and homey, and it is more beautiful in person than the pictures on the website. Our favorite activity was sitting on the back porch, listening to the relaxing river sounds. We appreciate that we could bring our dogs with us, and they enjoyed playing in the river, and taking walks. We will be back, and have already recommended this beautiful place to some of our family members.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

During the whole month of July, 2012 (one of the very hot months across the US) we had a delightful month in this lovely home on the banks of the River. Enjoyed the wonderful sounds and changes of the river each day - including watching ducks, geese, and otter from the comfort of rocking chairs on the back deck overlooking the river. A variety of birds were also constantly available for viewing around the hummingbird feeder and the other feeders in the nearby trees. The home is beautifully decorated with a wildlife/river theme. A very comfortable and relaxing month. The listing was accurate, photos were perfect, site very clean and well-maintained, all of our questions answered "ahead of time", enjoyed lots of activites in the area (such as antique shops, fishing, road trips, resturants, flea markets). We will definitely want to return again and also recommend to others.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin - we could not have asked for a nicer place. Very comfortable accommodations and felt very much at home. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything you would need for cooking. The view of the river from the porch was beautiful. Each morning, we saw mallard ducks with their ducklings swimming in formation up and down the river. Same with geese with their goslings. So very relaxing to watch from the porch. In addition, we met nice neighbors who were very helpful and friendly. All in all a very nice visit and would love to visit again soon.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

This was an absolutely perfect vacation. We stayed for the week and enjoyed every minute. The porch was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon reading, and evening dinners. The sounds of the river were very relaxing. We enjoyed the puzzles and playing the games. The cabin was so comfortable, welcoming, and clean. The kitchen was very well furnished with everything you need to prepare a meal. The decor has many personal touches that make you feel right at home. We enjoyed an evening of hotdogs and marshmellows by the fire pit. We went into town for shopping and ate a few restaurants. I would highly recommend this cabin for your family vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We hope to come again!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Clean, relaxing, just as described. The dog loved the long walk down the country road. Will be back. To bad we didn't have a place like this when our 3 children were young. They would have loved it.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
