Peace Like a River......

  • 5 of 5

What an incredible vacation we had at Trout Rivers Inn! I had read so many great reviews before coming that we actually added a day onto the beginning and also added an extra day onto the end! I'm so glad we did!! Everything was wonderful inside and out. Robbie and RJ were so accommodating and available for any question or concern we had. The house was nicely furnished and had everything & more you need for a very comfortable stay. We did a lot of cooking so we enjoyed the nice roomy, well stocked kitchen. We loved having a fenced in yard for our little Jack Russell Terrier to let out & the nice porch to watch the deer in the mornings. We love having a fire outside so we enjoyed the warmth of the fire every morning while sipping coffee and listening to the relaxing sound of the river. There is NOTHING like that sound.

We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch eating, playing games, getting in the hot tub and still enjoying the sights and sounds of the river.

We played in the river some in the tubes and the kayaks. We didn't do a long trip this time but will definitely do that next time. We loved the convenience of having tubes and kayaks right there at our disposal! Also, didn't fish this time, but will try another time.

We did some exploring of the area and look forward to doing more in the future! We picnicked and hiked some at Fires Creek, walked the trails on the Riverwalk in Murphy and explored some of the scenic trips in the area.

Our two grown children and their spouses and one grandchild were supposed to join us for the holiday weekend but unfortunately it didn't work out for all but our daughter & her husband came and really enjoyed it as well!

Next time, we will be a little more adventurous but this was a much needed relaxing time away in a beautiful setting. My husband & I ( & Todd, our dog) throughly enjoyed our 10 days at Trout Rivers Inn! Thank you for everything, Robbie & RJ! You guys are awesome hosts.

Clean, Cozy, Rustic and Beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent 5 days in this wonderful cabin. We booked it because it was pet friendly and we wanted to bring our dog on vacation. I have never stayed in a pet friendly place before and was prepared to have to settle. I was amazed and pleased that the cabin was very clean, no sign of pet hair and no animal smells. In addition, the owners thought of everything to make our stay pleasant. The setting on the river was beautiful! We also got to view the Eclipse there. The owners even provided Eclipse glasses for every on including our dog. We are already planning on returning next year.

We had an amazing time at Trout Rivers Inn! Inn was very clean and spacious. We took our 2 teen boys and they spent countless hours kayaking and fishing. We were able to bring our dog, she had a great time in the river and lounging on the porch. The hot tub was great and we couldn't get enough of the sounds of the rushing river! Location was not far from the Ocoee river which we rafted and also close to stables for horseback riding. We have rented many other cabins but this was by far our favorite! Can't wait to go back!

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Relaxing home and setting. Ronnie makes sure you have everything you need . We stayed for a week and had such a great time. Wish we could have stayed longer. Looking forward to returning in the fall. Our dog Nola, enjoyed the porches and playing in the river edge. Even though you are in the middle of no where , you are not far from grocery stores, wal-mart, restaurants, etc. Thank you again... See you soon!

Perfect getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family rents a vacation home at least once a year and this has been our favorite. The house itself is very comfortable and the owners have gone above and beyond to supply everything you might need to enjoy the home and the beautiful setting. Our vacation rentals usually just serve as a place to eat and sleep but this was so much more and we spent much of our time on one of the two porches or playing in the river. The owner truly embraces the concept of being dog friendly and my son's two dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves too. We had some tired dogs at the end of each day. If you do want to venture out, there is plenty to explore within an easy drive of the home and day trips to larger cities are definitely possible. The owners provide lots of information about area attractions. We initially planned to do all that but it was just too nice at the home to feel the need to leave for very long. All the more reason to come back again. Great communication with the owners. We didn't have any problems but I have no doubt the owners would have been highly responsive if we had.

This was a perfect getaway and the week went by way too fast.

We are so greatful to have had the chance to rent this property. We enjoyed the intire week there but most of all it was large enough to allow us to host 61 people in our family reunion. I thank you and if given a chance to return, we deffently would.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. However, we have changed the house rules since you made your reservation and parties/events (such as, wedding parties, reunions) are not permissible. That rule did not exist when you made your reservation so that was not an issue when you stayed.
