This is not your typical vacation rental home, which will become obvious the moment you experience it. Comfortably air conditioned throughout, this welcoming 6800 square foot home and the extensive surrounding gardens and grounds create a unique atmosphere appreciated by our guests who are searching for something truly exceptional. If spending real quality time having fun with family and friends in unequaled comfort and beauty is what you're after, this is the place. We've been making wonderful memories for folks renting our home for 15 years (as of 2024) through Vrbo.

Nothing has been spared to assure that our guests will have a vacation to remember, from a level of finish and décor throughout the home that will please the most discriminating tastes, right down to the superior mattresses, pillow tops, and linens you will find on each bed. (Our guests have told us they enjoy the beds so much they don’t want to get up!)

The outside of the home is like an extension of the inside. Have coffee or breakfast on the deck, dinner on the private lanai, or just kick back and relax around the beautiful gas fire pit on a summer evening, ensconced in the private gardens. It’s a transforming experience. Just off the deck is a sculpted 4,000 pound granite boulder spouting a cascade of water which creates the calming sound of a babbling brook day and night.

We do our best to make sure guests have a great time during their stay and feel pampered, so you'll find little extras like a book that describes great things to do in Colorado Springs and our favorite places to eat, nice soaps in all the bathrooms, 'How to' instructions posted near the things you'd like to know how to work (the gas fire pit outside, the BBQ, the home theater, etc.), and even an electric car charger in the garage!

We often get asked about Swimming Pools in the area that guests can use for themselves and their kids, and we're happy to say there are 7 beautiful ones, the nearest of which is a quick 6-minute drive from our address. We have rented VRBO homes before here and in other countries and it's been our goal to make this one of the very top properties you could rent in America or Europe. The 5-Star Broadmoor hotel is just three blocks away and our home is close to the wonderful Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Seven Falls, Stratton Open Space Hiking Trails, and just a short ride to Downtown Colorado Springs. It's one of the finest properties in the best neighborhood it this beautiful town...what's not to like!

NOTE- Sleeps up to 14 guests in this way: 1 Kings bed (2 people), 3 Queen beds (6 people), 4 twin beds in the bunkroom (4 people), and the big sofa sectional in the home theatre area that can sleep two kids 12 or under.

We recycle and use eco-friendly LED lighting throughout. Electric Car charger is a 220V. system and its use is free.

Perfect Vacation Home

Extraordinarily beautiful home and location. There’s were 11 off us (5 adults and 6 children - ages 6-14). It handled us nicely. The property was immaculate. Spacious and well-equipped kitchen to accommodate our meal needs when we were not traveling. Great location, in striking neighborhood, accessible to so many excursion sites (Pikes Peak, Royal Gorge, Mountain Zoo, etc.) We took advantage of game options (early AM and PM) at house: pool, ping pong, darts, croquet, ladder toss, chess, etc. Our adult runners found great running trails in a park close by. The gardens and landscape features around the house were beautiful and well-maintained - a mini botanic garden!! The adults enjoyed sitting around the fire pit in the evening, after the kids had settled, chatting and sipping a glass of wine. The kids saw deer run through the yard and so instituted an evening “deer walk” to see if they could see more. The realtor, Liz, who checked us in-and-out, was lovely. All-in-all, a great experience. Highly recommended.

Outstanding 55th Anniversary Celebration

This was the most outstanding VRBO property we have ever rented. The home was very large and well appointed, it was like we were truly living in someone's home. The owner and both property managers were very easy to deal with and most attentive to our needs. The entire family thoroughly enjoyed our time. in CS and on the property. Beautiful place, perfect location!

We had a wonderful time at this property. Stayed with teen children and adults. This is the perfect place to stay in Colorado Springs. If you are thinking about staying at the Broadmoor, stay here instead. We were able to use all Broadmoor amenities including zip lining, restaurants, etc., except the pool… but had the space and privacy of this beautiful house for the family. We loved the bikes, toys, and game room in basement. House has almost historic feel but it’s modern and beautiful inside. We will definitely stay again! Host and agent were very helpful. Worth every penny for this place!

Our family loves Colorado and we live here in this beautiful home much of the year. One of the things we enjoy most year-round is hiking in the extensive trail system with the trail heads only a few minutes from home (really...like 4 minutes away by car!). The other thing we enjoy is gardening and we've done all the English garden planting around the property (a combination of perennials and annuals) ourselves.

Why they chose this property

This is our home...it's that simple. We could live anywhere, so our choice of this spot speaks to how much we love it.

What makes this property unique

Even in this town, it can get warm in the summer, so the fact that it is comfortably air conditioned throughout sets it apart from many homes - even the nicer ones in town. The thing that guests mention most about the property, however, is its wonderful back deck and lanai, comfortable loungers, and fire pit with gorgeous spring chairs, and bubbling water feature, all surrounded by beautiful grounds...they and their families just find it rejuvenating!
