Stay in the charming West Side of Colorado Springs, and enjoy everything that the city has to offer - the Bijou House is close to it all. Nestled in a quiet residential area, this spacious home has 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large dining room, fully equipped kitchen, two separate fenced-in yards, and a beautiful front porch complete with a porch swing so that you can enjoy the mountain view and beautiful sunsets. For business or pleasure, nature lovers or city dwellers, there is a little something for everyone!

Watch the deer as they pass by the yard, walk a couple of blocks to the Saturday Farmers' Market, shop and dine in Old Colorado City- just a few minutes to walk to it all!

The Layout

The main level has three bedrooms with 1 king, 2 queens and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room. The lower level has 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds and a full-size sleeper sofa. Linens are provided.

The bathrooms, one being a Jack and Jill set up, are both located on the main level of the house. Both have full bathtubs with showers. Towels are provided.

The living rooms, one on the main level and one below, have sleeper sofas with memory foam mattresses for ultimate comfort. There is a large 50' television with a Blu-Ray, a Wii and games, and movies to enjoy a movie night when you are all tuckered out from sightseeing. With cable channels, movies, board games and books to choose from for entertainment, you will not want for something to do while at the house.

Enjoy a hot or cold beverage with fresh mountain air on the covered front porch. Pass the day away in a porch swing while taking in the views of Cheyenne Mountain. The fenced backyard has a large table, umbrella and seating for an additional 8 people with a propane fire pit to enjoy a cozy fire on those chilly Colorado nights.

If you prefer to prepare your meals at home, cooking is a breeze in the fully equipped kitchen with pots, pans, cookie sheets, a crock pot, wine glasses, and more. The large dining table easily seats 10 with an additional leaf that can be added and more chairs to accommodate a large crowd.

If you are traveling with children, the lower level basement is stocked with toys, books and games for all ages. There is also a high chair, pack and play, booster seat, bibs and more.

Lastly, the location is perfect! Walk just two blocks to Colorado Avenue for shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, a park (Farmers' Market is held on Saturdays) and more. Hop in the car for a short 5 minute drive to visit and hike at Garden of the Gods, drive 5 minutes in the opposite direction and you will be in downtown Colorado Springs. The mountains, Manitou Springs and more are just 10 minutes by car. The location couldn't be better.

About Catherine

Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, I have lived in many states and even a few years in Germany. I spent a few years of my childhood in Colorado Springs and many family members have now made this area their home. My husband, from Munich, Germany, and I, along with our three kids and two dogs love to travel as often as possible. I enjoy spending time in Colorado Springs, visiting with family, enjoying the milder climate (we live in Texas!) and taking in the laid back culture in this area.

Why Catherine chose Colorado Springs

This house is the perfect set up for larger families to enjoy time together while also offering some nice personal space that is needed when traveling. The outside space offers ample seating and a porch swing to enjoy the fresh mountain air. We enjoy some of the original features but also appreciate the many upgrades that have been done to the house. And the location.... it's just perfect for vacation!

What makes this house unique

Split level with lots of space for large groups. Nice covered porch and fruit trees including crab apple and apricot. Large dining room table to host a family or group of people traveling together. Quiet neighborhood that is close to action but far enough away to be safe and peaceful.

Large space - great for groups

We were pleased with this house - 5 bedrooms was perfect and the backyard was ideal. The location is handy enough and the renter was pleasant enough. definitely a good stay.

perfect for a family gathering

The home was great to allow us to come together as a family. With the 5 bedrooms and open basement area for the kids to gather it was great. Enjoyed the patios and being able to barbeque, and relax in the evenings out there.

The kitchen had large pans and bowels that accommodated preparing multiple portions.

Quiet neighborhood but only a couple blocks from parks, and a few blocks from the many shops on Colorado Blvd.

very kid friendly with indoor and outdoor toys to keep them busy.

Great location, space, and toys for family with children

House has lots of space. The toys, children's books, pack n play, and baby gate were big perks and saved plenty of packing. Kitchen is nicely updated. Location is convienent to walk to restaurants, shops, parks with playgrounds. Easy drive to everywhere else in Colorado Springs. Would stay here again.

Great house, great location.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. Bigger house than it may seem from the outside. Nice kitchen/dining area to hang out and visit. Quick walk to bars and restaurants down on Colorado Ave. Definitely recommend this house.

This is the PERFECT vacation home!

I couldn't have imagined a better home to spend our spring break! The kids had room to play outside, adults had plenty of seating for visiting, kitchen space was incredible, open, spacious, clean, well stocked, and the location is perfectly located to lots of attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
