This is the perfect cabin for a couple’s luxurious, private retreat! Or if you want to bring the kids, there is room for them as well! The cabin sleeps 2-5.
“Stairway to Heaven” is a spacious, yet cozy, 1300 sq foot deluxe one bedroom, 2 bath cabin offering the comfort of a large King bed, a stunning, panoramic mountain view, and a gourmet kitchen loaded with all the amenities you can want. Complimentary gourmet coffee and a selection of teas greet you as you arrive and the hot tub should be all ready for relaxing in the evening. If you bring the kids, there is a Queen Murphy pull down bed upstairs in the living area - it's easy to use and comfortable.
You will enjoy watching your favorite movies on either of two large, flat screen TVs - one in the master bedroom downstairs and the other in the living room above the fireplace. Dish Network is provided with 160 channels! Plus, we have a full library of DVDs for you. Downstairs serves as both a master bedroom and a fun, game area with a pool table, fooseball table and X-Box video gaming system. We've added a futon couch for extra seating and an extra sleeping place.
On the lower balcony, just outside the spacious master bedroom is a cedar swing - perfect for cuddling to watch the sunset over the mountains. In the morning, treat yourself and your someone special to complimentary gourmet coffee in the espresso machine. Relax on our comfortable outdoor furniture on the balcony to start your day - you won't want to leave! Every item in our cabin home is upscale from the leather furnishings and cedar glider in the living room to the detailed rustic decorations – there is even a rocking chair for a child! The cabin is truly a delightful romantic getaway! A private drive leads down to the cabin that overlooks the valley; for those who have more than one vehicle, there is plenty of parking available.
The location of our cabin in Wears Valley could not be better; we are located at the end of a cul de sac on four acres. This means there is one cabin to the left of us that you can't see when inside the cabin or on the balconies and no cabins to the right or below. This gives our cabin the privacy you want without being isolated. We have resident wildlife - three turkeys, a ground hog, rabbits, and an almost white skunk have been seen meandering through the front yard, so keep your eyes open.
The location in Wears Valley is convenient to everything in the area. Located in the gated Dogwood area, just five miles from the heart of Pigeon Forge, you have easy access from the cabin to all the fun of Dollywood, outlet shopping, music shows and sightseeing in the quaint village of Gatlinburg. Wears Valley has an entry directly into the Smoky Mountain National Park by the Visitor’s Center which is about 2 miles from the cabin, so you can enjoy the beauty and seclusion of mountain trails and famous Cades Cove without any town traffic. Townsend is just 10 minutes from the cabin and offers river tubing, horseback riding, cave exploration and the famous Foothills Parkway access. We are centrally located to all of these!

One word comes to mind about this cabin, spectacular!!!! The cabin is relaxing and is as advertised. The spiral staircase leading to the bedroom/rec room is cool. June and Rick have provided a nice decor throughout the cabin including furnishings conducive for relaxing and enjoying your significant other and/or family members companionship. The cabin's outdoor spaces provide great natural entertainment as well as comfortable seating, we especially loved the porch swing. Moreover, the views are wonderful, especially when the fog rolls through the valley. The drive to the cabin is beautiful and easily accessible...In fact, the cabin is minutes away from everything the area has to offer but yet provides the privacy one may desire on vacation. From the cabin's location one can easily gain access to the Smokey Mountains National Park. Additionally, getting to Pigeon Forge as well as Gatlinburg is a breeze.Did you find this review helpful? Our stay at Stairway to Heaven was perfect. Booking and check-in were easy. The home was clean and in pristine condition. There were so many unique touches. Everything we needed to cook and to feel like home was there. We loved the home and the privacy so much that we booked an extra night. While we never like to stay at the same cabin twice in the Seveirville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, we are already planning our next visit to Stairway to Heaven. It was that impressive! Thank you June for opening up your beautiful home to our family!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Traveling from Nashville, we found the perfect get-away site. This mountain top cabin offers spectacular views of the Smokies and is nestled for privacy (remember the hot-tub!). We woke up Sat morning to a breath-taking, glistening, snow-covered landscape which thankfully melted on the road by mid-morning so we could travel down the mt to Townsend and enjoy a fabulous lunch at Miss Lily's Cafe then browse antique shops. The cabin is immaculately clean and very cozy so we were eager to head back for an afternoon of scrabble, while cooking dinner was easy and relaxing in the well-stocked kitchen. As our weekend was too cold for hiking, now we have an excuse to head back very soon to enjoy the multitude of outdoor offerings!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My family and I went to Stairway to Heaven earlier this year. It was a beautiful cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. It was located not far from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. It is a bit secluded but not totally out of the way. The views are amazing. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to do it again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We love this cabin! We stayed last year and just booked again for this year. It's location is perfect because it's off the main roads but centralized to everything in Gatlinburg and Pigion Forge while also being close to Cade's Cove. The cabin has anything you'd need for cooking, entertaining and relaxing. It was nice that the upstairs and downstairs each had their TVs and sitting areas. Children and adults can have their own space if desired. For my family, this cabin is a real value with everything we need.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Such a wonderful, peaceful vacation for my husband and myself! We just loved staying at this cabin and have been reminiscing fondly about it ever since. Everything was clean, comfortable and inviting. June was just fabulous getting us booked with ease, and provided area info. Cabin has everything you need if you don't want to leave, but was centrally located if you want to explore the beautiful Smokies like we did. The clean and relaxing hottub was a perfect touch to the end of our days hiking. Loved it and would highly recommend to anyone!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We loved your cabin. It was comfortable, well appointed, and had everything we needed. We loved the stay, the amazing view, and the 3 king sized beds! It was quite but close to all the sights, and the "nature" all around was certainly restful and fun. We have great family memories. Thank you, Rick and June, for taking the time and effort to provide a blessing for us. We so appreciate you both! About the owner: We have loved the Smokies for years and for the last five we regularly came to Wears Valley. We found this cabin tucked away among tall trees with a view that seems to go forever and knew this was our perfect family getaway and the fulfillment of a dream to have our own place here. With the hectic pace of life, it can be difficult to just leave work behind and go enjoy a place like the Smokies. Having the cabin makes us look forward to when we can get away. The cabin is almost new so the few additions we've made are things we like to have on vacation. Since we like to cook and grill out, the kitchen was designed to have all the conveniences of home and more. I love swings so we added our cedar one downstairs to enjoy the sunset and a cedar glider in the living room to rock inside. And there is nothing better than getting in a hot tub at night that overlooks the valley and stars. I think one of the things we enjoy the most about having this cabin is having others really love it, too. Maybe it's our southern hospitality background that makes me thrilled to have someone say what a great time they had getting away from it all. I feel the same way when we get to go! We hope you will love the time at the cabin as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Wears Valley:
Wears Valley is THE perfect location for the Smokies. The reason? You avoid the terrible traffic of the main road through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and travel the back roads to those places. And the best part is they are still close by! Plus, you get your own entrance in the the National Park that curves around to the Visitor's Center or go to Townsend and have an easy way to Cades Cove. In a word, it is centrally located to everything you want to do in the area. Our cabin has a paved road up the mountain and it is an easy road, not one of those that makes you feel seasick. For all these reasons, the cabin location could not be better.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
What I love about this cabin first and foremost is the view off the balconies and the outdoor furniture that lets you enjoy it for hours. My motto is if you are going to be in the mountains, you should see them! Our view is one that really is special with rolling hills in the front and ranges of mountains in the distance - beautiful sunset colors, too.
2. I love our king bed - it is more comfortable than my bed at home!
3. I love that we are not on top of other cabins. There is land around us!
4. I love that the cabin is new and decorated to the nines.
5. I love the kitchen. I am missing nothing by being away from home; I've added all the extras for cooking in and having a great meal together by candlelight. I just want to relax when I'm there and I find I can easily do that.
6. I love the location - we are close to everything without being caught in mounds of traffic to get somewhere. Wears Valley is the 'back door' way to get to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove and Townsend. There simply is not a better location in this area.
