Located in desirable Mata Grande/Mata Chica neighborhood, this house was completed in 2010 and boasts pristine white sand beach, private infinity fresh water pool which overlooks to barrier reef, 3rd story viewing deck, palapa with bar, with beverage cooler & grill, 3 kayaks for guests to enjoy, and a further outdoor kitchen with gas grill, wine fridge and seating for 10 or more.
House is ideal for any reunion, small wedding or family & friends get together. House consists of 5 bedrooms, 5 baths and 4,500+ sq ft of living space. 3 of the 5 bedrooms have private kitchenettes, bathrooms, personal safes, and plasma TV's which all have private entrances.
The neighborhood offers services such as grocery store, golf cart rentals, bike rentals as well as some of the best restaurants on the island. Reservations are normally taken for check-in: Friday, Saturday or Sunday -minimum stay 6 nights
Credit card payments to BajaMar will be charged in Belize dollars at the official fixed mid-rate of exchange: 1 USD = 2 BZD. (We accept Visa Card, MasterCard, American Express & Discover). The Central Bank of Belize however now fixes a small margin on the transaction, which varies but currently is 0.875% - i.e. +/- USD 20 both on the deposit and final balance payments. Guests may alternatively pay the exact USD amount by bank wire transfer.
50% due at time of booking with balance due 45 days prior to arrival.
We have a cancellation policy that provides for a return of funds as follows:
60 days/more before check-in:Full refund less processing fees
59-31 days: 50% refund less processing fees
30 days or less: No refund
***Processing fees include a USD 250 cancellation fee and any related bank or credit card fees incurred by BajaMar*

Why the Owner Chose San Pedro: While all beautiful places have their individual charms, nowhere on earth has given me the same sense of a yearning to return than here at BajaMar on Ambergris, the “Isla Bonita”.
As a brief background to the house, at the end of 2007 I bought the land, five miles north of San Pedro Town, to build BajaMar as a tropical home. The intention was to enable my wife and I to escape the cold winters of Europe; that I might fly-fish the surrounding salt water flats during my retirement and the decision was made with some vague and eccentric middle aged whim of investment. While the conceptual layout of the house was mine, the fine architectural design is entirely to the credit of local architect, Sue Courtenay. The house was completed in 2010 after a prolonged and challenging construction period of some two and a half years. Every single material for the construction was brought to the site by barge.
