We were 4 families and a bit uneasy about how things would be when we got there. The owners were very friendly and accomodating, while the house itself had a charm only a guest could appreciate. It was perfect from the large living room and fireplace to the dining room which allowed 19 of us to dine together truly creating a long lasting memory. The setting was perfect, we will definitely be back.Owner response: Thanks for the comments. We have several houses on the grounds of the Wilburton Inn. We designate this house as the Family Reunion Place. This house has many repeat guests. Regards, Albert

Last winter, my family and I ventured up to Manchester Vermont for a family skiing adventure. We were fortunate to find this property, which worked out wonderfully for everyone. We live in Boston and were looking for a country getaway which was still comfortable, where we could stay as a family and be close to the mountain but also go out to great restaurants and do fun things in town. This place was just that. Big enough to fit everybody, deluxe enough to please my inlaws, kid friendly to let us borrow sleds. And the owner, who also runs the Wilburton Inn, catered a delightful banquet which was the perfect conclusion to our vacation and the perfect start to the new year. I highly reccommend the expereince.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: As an innkeeper and a host I am delighted to serve my function well. I am pleased with a positive review but I feel doubly assured that I am doing my job adequately when I have guests returning. I am comforted and delighted that guests who came last year for Christmas are returning this year for New Year's vacation and that they choose to be here coming from very far away.. Albert Levis

Owner info
Year Purchased: 1987
About the owner: My wife and I purchased the Wilburton Inn Estate and Restaurant in 1987. It is our pleasure to have run the Wilburton Inn for the past 25 years. I am from Athens, Greece and my wife is from Brooklyn, NYC. We bought our first home in VT in 1972 because the mountains reminded me of my days at medical school in Switzerland. We love welcoming guests to our beautiful homes and sharing our love of Vermont with them. We welcome you to tour the art and sculptures on the ground.
Why the Owner Chose Manchester Village:
This robber baron estate has evolved through the 20th century from a 1000 acre private home - the largest estate in Manchester Village - , to a prep school, to an inn and now to an inn that celebrates life as a farm, a bakery, and a museum advancing creativity to become the core of education. This is a spectacular private, grand estate where guests can relax in a private home and truly feel they are 'away from it all.'
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Sculpture Gardens that trace the history of myths and marriage.
Tour our son's nearby organic farm with a bakery, chickens, and acres of gardens! Green Mountains at it's finest.
