We had a wonderful time at this lovely farmhouse. I can't say enough about this beautiful area. We were there in the October for a weekend of Notre Dame Football and family togetherness! Everything was fabulous. We had a total of 6 people and there was plenty of room and living space. This house is more beautiful than the pictures indicate. We arrived after dark and walked into the house and all of us said WOW. The owner from my first inquiry was so responsive and I felt he really wanted us to have a wonderful time in his home. THANK YOU THANK YOU for allowing us to stay and enjoy. It was a wonderful weekend of family fun and the IRISH WON!!!! GO NOTRE DAME!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband & I had such a relaxed, wonderful time at Jorge's beautiful home. We especially loved that all the floors are wood and the living, family, dining room and kitchen all have clean lines and modern, very comfortable furniture. No clutter here. The kitchen is open and well equipped... a joy to use! The country setting is quiet yet close to Three Oaks which is a lovely small town with lots to see and do. We enjoyed touring the many wineries and tasting rooms in the area and near the end of our stay we finally saw buffalo at the neighboring property. The Four Winds Casino is very close and a fun evening. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and we found the groceries we needed at Hardings in Three Oaks. This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable vacation homes we have enjoyed. I highly recommend it. Jorge was accommodating and welcoming. We look forward to a return visit.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The photos are accurate...Jorge's place is beautifully decorated. The description of the property was "spot on". We found it with no difficulty. It was clean and very comfortable. We emailed the owner with questions, and got swift responses. We enjoyed the gourmet kitchen immensely...the screened in porch was perfect for that early morning coffee, reading environment. We really enjoyed the property! We played badminton, bocci ball, washers in the spacious backyard. We also enjoyed the firepit! Some of the area attractions we visited: wineries, Notre Dame campus, and Warren Dunes State Park. We'd recommend this property for all age groups.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Tucked among the trees and countryside, our vacation was quiet, calming and relaxing. The home is an old farm house, renovated in a modern way that makes it both cool and comfortable. Our kids (2 and 5) loved exploring the grounds and the home. This isn't the place to go if your looking for lots of time on the beach, although the drive isn't too far. It's more of a place to get away from it all. I recommend bringing groceries with, as local stores aren't fabulous. Cooking in the big kitchen and eating on the deck is part of the lure of this house.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I agree with others who state that this house was even more beautiful than the pictures indicate. We arrived late in the evening, walked in the house, and our reactions was "Wow". Everything clean, modern and nicely prepared for our arrival. Beautifully appointed. Perfect for our family gathering for Thanksgiving. It was a little chilly in November to enjoy the porch / deck / yard, but in warmer weather, it would have been very nice outside. We enjoyed staying inside where we utilized the nicely equipped kitchen, the TV, the PS3, music system, etc. We were very pleased with the rental and will likely return another time.Did you find this review helpful? We bicycled into Three Oaks, a trip of just 8 miles, to have breakfast at Viola’s. Eggs and ham or biscuits and gravy, its country style eating. The new distillery in Three Oaks has a tasting of fine rye in a dramatic loft atmosphere. We combined this with the museum-like Featherbone Factory antique shop. Great prices and cool stuff. The Three Oaks library has a bicycle museum that has a history of the bike. Worth of look. The Three Oaks open market is loaded with organic product and helpful vendors, with vegetables you don’t see in every store. We enjoyed combining that with Buffalo steaks from Chris down the road for a big meal. We discovered New Carlisle to be a charming town where we shopped galleries and boutiques, then lunched at the new Bruno’s with his signature pizza. We walked on the beach at New Buffalo which is just a few minutes away. What a great resort town. The Four Winds Casino is beautiful and exciting. One of us won big. The view from the kitchen window of the rising sun over the cornfield while making coffee in the morning is just peaceful. Meal prep in the big kitchen is a big part of the experience. There’s something about fresh produce from the farmer’s market and Buffalo steaks. A glass of wine, a fire in the fireplace made for a great evening of conversation. SMORES at the fire pit with all of us gathered around the fire was like being kids again.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was our second stay at the wonderful Modern Tranquility house. The rooms are so well appointed and have all the modern conveniences. A group meal was planned and the kitchen accommodated all while preparing a magnificent meal. The grounds are so inviting and the fire pit was a favorite for S-Mores. This year we adventured into Three Oaks, MI as well as riding our bicycles on the many country roads in New Carlisle. The pictures do not capture all of the warmness of this property. We will definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We just returned from four days at Jorge’s farm in Indiana. We had a wonderful time. The home is lovely. You enter a large living and dining area, walls of windows, dark, polished hardwood floors throughout. The furniture and décor is modern, tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen (granite center island with stovetop, huge double refrigerator/freezer, multiple dishwashers, and microwave) is stocked with everything one could need; sauce pans, skillets, crock pots, bake ware. There was an abundance of dishes, glassware, utensils of all types. There was also a drawer of spices and a cabinet of basics—soup, can goods, popcorn, cocoa, too much to mention. The bedrooms were large with great beds and bedding. I loved the pillows! I used the one provided rather than the one I bring from home. The bathrooms were like something out of House Beautiful! We rode our bikes into town. We shopped and ate in Three Oaks and New Carlisle. We had dinner at a supper club. We enjoyed the Four Winds Casino and even pocketed some winnings! Back at the house we sat in front of the fireplace and played board games, cards, listened to music and watched the Bears game. The grounds surrounding the home were lovely. We had a fire and made Smores one evening. Another day we walked the path through the woods. We took a long ride and the fall scenery was beautiful. We all look forward to a return stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Five of us cycled from Chicago to Cleveland making a documentary film of the adventure. The second night we cycled to Modern Tranquility enjoying the countryside.which is perfect for bike touring. Two in our group were excellent cooks so the professional kitchen was both the source of an excellent meal but also a place for us to gather with a glass of wine after the long ride. We slept like firewood in the gentle Indiana rain and saddled up the next day totally refreshed.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.
