Nicely maintained, owners are great to work with. Nicely apportioned. We really enjoyed our stay, the basket of fresh fruits and vegetables as a really nice touch. We were lucky that across the street there's an couple who runs a small farm to sell produce at farmers markets. We ended up buying nice vegetables and eggs which!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for the weekend. The home is cozy, clean, and very comfortable. We relaxed in the BEAUTIFUL terraced garden and spent the evening with nice wine and a jigsaw puzzle! The area is quiet, yet not too far from the action of downtown Healdsburg or wineries. The owner was so sweet and made sure our stay was lovely. The only drawback is the single bathroom (6 women and only ONE bathroom?? We made it work!), but we quickly forgot about that while enjoying this wonderful rental. We will definitely be returning one day!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Debbie and friends, Thanks for the nice review. I am glad you enjoyed the house and gardens. We try to make it comfortable and just like home. I know one bath can be tough, but like you said, you can make it work especially if you are having a good time. We are working on adding another bath after the first of the year. Please come see up again. Thanks, Sheri and Don

This home was the best surprise I ever could have hoped for. The owners were beyond gracious, going so far as to share their late summer vegetable bounty with us. The outdoor patios are wonderful, offering the perfect shade and vantage point to enjoy the garden and good conversation. The beds were perfect. I can't say enough good things. I would love love love to go back right now!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: Amanda, Thank you so much for the great review. I am so glad you enjoyed the house. I'm happy you were able to use the veggies, we have so many and they get ripe all at the same time. I think it is fun after a day of touring to come back to the house and bar-b-que or cook in. Please come back and see us again and thanks for taking the time to post a review. Sheri and Don

We needed a place for 6 of us to stay for my niece's wedding weekend. Spring Canyon Ranch worked out wonderfully. The hosts could not have been more hospitable - we really enjoyed the vegies from the garden and the bottle of wine. We were able to take part in all of the wedding festivities, do some additional wine tasting and relax in the wonderful gardens. I especially enjoyed relaxing out on the patio with a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. The house was very clean and comfortable for the six of us and we were able to invite my sisters and their husbands over for a nice relaxing dinner out on the patio the Sunday after the craziness of the wedding. Thank you for the hospitality you made a wonderful but hectic weekend wedding turn into a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing vacationRecommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: Sandra and Family, I am so happy the house worked out for you. Out of town Family gatherings can be stressful and hectic, so I'm glad you had home base to fall back on. In your down time between activities you could enjoy the patios and the garden. Thank you for taking the time to post a review and please come see us again when you are traveling in our area. Sheri and Don

Our stay at Spring Canyon Ranch could not have been better...we've often rented through VRBO from San Francisco to Park City UT to NYC and this is BY FAR the best yet...from the minute we stepped through the rose gardens into the kitchen and dining area where a chilled bottle of wine awaited us we knew this was going to be special...the attention to detail, the spotless condition of everything, and the thoughtfulness for their guests' stay were all very apparent...we enjoyed the cozy living room while watching the Olympics on the flat screen TV, reading , and playing games...trips into Healdsburg were easy and meant a good seafood/tapas dinner at Willi's Seafood and browsing through the shops...we enjoyed wine tasting at Michel-Schlumberger and Spragia...we are already planning a return to Spring Canyon Ranch as soon as possible...thank you so much to Sheri and Gus for this wonderful weekend!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, people with disabilities, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: Kathryn and Family, Thank you so much for posting a review. I am glad you enjoyed the house. I try to make it like a home away from home. You did visit some great wineries and there are so many more to explore. I am happy you got to Healdsburg, there are lots of places to get a great meal and you picked one of my favorites. The gardens are expecially pretty this time of year, with the good weather, good wine, good friends, and the Olympics, you picked a great weekend to visit. Hope you come back real soon. Thanks, Sheri and Don

A very complete home, everything you could possibly want. The gardens are beautiful, nice patio and deck area to sit and enjoy a glass of the Alexander Valley wine. We enjoyed Healdsburg, the Tuesday night concert in the square, driving to Jenner and the Dry Creek Valley escpecially the beautiful Ferrari Carano Winery.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Nancy and Bob, I am so glad the house worked out for you. It is nice to get away, and we try to make it a little home away from home. I am glad you got into Healdsburg for the music Tuesday night, it is always a fun time. It looks like you took in alot of sites for such a short time. We are surrounded by some of the greatest family owned wineries in Sonoma County and not too far for a ride to the coast. Please come visit us again. Thanks, Sheri and Don

Not sure if I even want to give this little gem away, tempted to not review and keep it our little secret!! The house was one of the nicest that we've ever stayed in. It was perfect for our family reunion. The kitchen was well stocked with good quality dishes and serving ware. Even the pantry had lots of goodies in it. We had 6 adults and one 2 yr. old. Easy to keep track of him, we put our baby gate up to corral him in the living room/kitchen area. The gardens and patios are all so lovely, we appreciate all the little touches that Sheri has done in the garden. Even the little old guy across the street was cool, had us over to show us his little mini farm!! Will stay there again for sure!! Loved it!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: Charmaine and Dale Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review. I am so glad that the house worked out for you and your family. Knowing the area like you do, it is great to be so centrally located and close to all the family gatherings. The gardens are always changing depending on what is blooming and you came when we had such beautiful weather. I will pass on your comments to Earl the farmer across the street. It is our local gardeners that make the Farmers Market so successful on Saturday mornings. Thanks and do come back, Sheri and Don
