Having stayed at this house on numerous occasions there is no other place I would rather vacation for skiing. Snowmass Mountain remains one of my favorites and being able to ski in and out basically from the front door is perfect. The amenities of the house are top notch. The outdoor hot tub, comfortable beds, a well appointed kitchen and multiple areas to lounge and relax after a day on the slopes makes for a great stay. I would recommend this house to everyone.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

We have been skiing at Snowmass for 20+ years with our 4 children & now with their partners & grandchildren. We've stayed at many homes on the mountain but this one is very well designed & suited our needs perfectly. The ski out was an easy walk (downhill) to just across the street & ski in was through a trail ending at the home's driveway. The owner was a pleasure to work with and answered all our questions promptly. All in all a great spring break trip!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

Thank you so much for allowing us to share your home away from home. Everything from the beds to the kitchen were perfect for our family trip. Skiing was great it is so nice to have the slopes out the front door. We've stayed other places on the mountain and did not fully appreciate the luxury of a ski in ski out house (no parking, long walks in ski boots and dealing with boots, poles, skis etc.) The hot tub in the deck was a great way to unwind after a long day on the mountain. Having the big game room in the basement was wonderful for the kids to play. We cooked and stayed in most nights and enjoyed plenty of time lounging in front of the fireplace. My wife and I had the master suite and were really struggling to give up the expanse as well the on suite jacuzzi. The ceiling mounted HD flat screen was a real bonus. Cannot wait to return for another wonderful trip.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

By far the greatest vacation our family has EVER had. We had 3 couples, and 8 children ages from 4 to 17. Their was plenty of room for all of us and we never seemed crowded. The home was exactly as advertised , extremely easy ski in and ski out. Home was very well furnished and up to date The veiw off the back deck, while it the hot tub was priceless. We will surely be back to this home.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.

I have skied at Snowmass with my family a number of times and found this house be a great choice. As described it is possible to literally ski from the end of the driveway right to the slope - then catch the Two Creeks lift to the main part of the resort. Plus its possible to ski back right to the house, then just cross the street and be at the house - but you need to learn where to turn in off the West Fork trail. Its a 5 minute drive from the house down to the main ski area - which can be a hassle if the kids are taking lessons and you don't start early enough to take the Two Creeks lift. The house has a great view - the evening alpen glow is spectactular. The house is furnished nicely - it is very comfortable and attractive. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable - slept great. Downstairs there is a ping pong table for the kids. The triple bunk room beds are tight however. The layout of the house and bedrooms make it very easy to have two or more families stay there. I would stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We are Three old friends who travel to Snowmass each winter with some of our children. This year we were a total of 9 people and the Rankin home was ideally suited for our purposes. Our children range in age from 8 to 27 and the bedrooms with separate bathrooms makes it easy to retire for some privacy while we can enjoy the game room and family room as needed. The home is accurately described on VRBO, in fact we were pleasantly surprised with the layout of the home as well as the location of the property with regard to the skiruns. My only warning to skiers is that they make it down to the Two Forks lift before 3:30 or they will have a long walk or a wait for a taxi ride back to the home. We would welcome coming back to the Rankin home.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children.

About the owner: Hello from the Rankin's we would like to invite you to our home in Snowmass Village when we aren't enjoying it ourselves. Fortunately for me my father made his first trip to Snowmass in 1971 with me in tow and I have skied there ever since. I have had fun introducing my wife and kids to the mountain over the last 15 years and thankfully they love to ski. Over the years we have had many trips with many different guests and we would like to think that we have the perfect house in the perfect location. After a year of painting, redecorating and general updates the house has never been better. I hope you get a chance to experience what I think is one of the best ski vacations in the world!
Why the Owner Chose Snowmass:
The perfect ski mountain for all levels of skiers and the perfect location.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The absolute best benefit of our house is the proximity to the ski area. Its just across the street and when there is snow on the road you can ski right to the front door!
