Clean open concept living with 2 bedrooms ~queen beds, a nice bath with larger walk in shower and a kitchen with all the utensils for your cooking pleasure........Our availability calender is updated every single day. If it dosent have a red reservation box, its most likely available!

Just north of Saltwater is Analyde Gap beach approach. In a brief walk (about 1/3 mile) you will find yourself at the oceans edge. Or, if your packing up all of your beach bum accessories for the whole day, throw it in your car and drive! you can take your car on the beach here in Washington State. On the North Beach, we have the most spectacular stretch of unspoiled beach you could imagine. Beach combing, shell hunting, and imaginative driftwood pieces abound and are easily found here.Surf fishing for perch is popular at PB, then theres also surf kayaking!

If you would rather shop, the small town of Pacific Beach has a few little gift shops and bakery-coffee shops, too. There are a limited amount of restaurants in PB. A family restaurant at the Navy Resort center across the street, a burger joint downtown, a lovely romantic restaurant in Moclips and a few others. There is no real grocery store, so keep that in mind. The local gas station does have a well stocked mini mart, but rarely fresh veggies or fruits. A great local farmers market has just opened up in the last few months only about a 10 minute drive out Ocean Beach Road. Voss Market will have all fresh veggies and fruits you will need.

A half hours drive south will bring you to the city of Ocean Shores, which has a movie theatre, grocery store, casino gambling, more shopping and fun choices for kids like scooters, bumper boats, ect. Back up north there are great hiking trails at Lake Quinault. Visit the historic Lake Quinault Lodge, check out some gigantic old growth cedar trees and a beautiful rainforest in the Olympic National Forest.

After a fun day out exploring, head on back to the Saltwater where you will find ample new thirsty white towels, washcloths, shampoo and soaps in the linen closet in the bathroom. Kitchen utensils, dish and washer soap, pots, pans, dishes and glasses are aplenty. Attention to detail was a must when furnishing our little cottage, Beachy and relaxed is the style, for ease of cleaning and an un-fussy look. Cozy new bedding, pillows, sheets and blankets will round out a wonderful day with the ocean outside lulling you to a relaxing nights sleep. If you are any kind of star gazer, Pacific Beach has the best night sky you could imagine. BA zillion stars can keep you awake for hours.

If hiking and biking is your thing, there are wonderful short trips from the cottage to take in the majesty of the Olympic Peninsulas unique and unmistakabley NorthWest climes.

We have tried very hard to make this a perfect getaway especially for families, couples, girlfriends retreats, crafting weekends or a quiet place for you to get re-energized by yourself. Books, games, cards and blocks will busy the children the closet in the back bedroom. It is full of fun just for them! If you are bringing your pet, there's doggie towels for those salty wet runs on the beach. We know dogs love it here, too. Cellular service is spotty at best, We have verizon and still have to walk around outside to try and get service..

Our original vacation rental, Coastal Nest Cottage is directly across the street from Saltwater. For larger gatherings try booking the two for twice the fun. Either or, we will leave the light on for ya!

Owner's Map of Pacific Beach

Steve and Lisa have had a great time being beach bums when time permits. Originally purchased our first vacation rental, Coastal Nest Cottage, across the street in 2007. Had so much fun with that we decided to purchase this cutie pie, right across the street. Married for 20 years with 3 kids, we love the beach and all its relaxing capabilities.

Cozy Getaway

Date of Stay: 05/18/12 Review Submitted: 05/21/12

Saltwater Cottage is definitely the place to stay when you want to go to the beach. Max and I returned with my husband this year and we enjoyed our stay once again. We ran the beach every day and saw beautiful sunsets and it was great to have the cozy warmth of the cottage nearby. Saltwater Cottage has become our annual retreat away from the city and look forward to returning again, very soon.

Owner response:so happy you return each year. We love that you can agree this is a cozy sweet little place to rest, relax and renew with the ones you love..

The pictures are very true to life. I know sometimes I have viewed the pictures and then got there and thought am I in the right place. It was very clean and had everything you would need for a weekend or for a month. The decor was just great it has a very homey feel to it. It invites you in and makes you want to stay much longer. The beach was great and not crowded like Ocean City. If you want to get off the main beat and retreat this is the place. There is a cute Coffee House in town great coffee and sandwiches. People are very nice the owners as well as the folks in town. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get away for a weekend or plan a vacation.. Lisa and Steve were great and wanted to insure we had a wonderful experience and weekend. I know I will be back. PS They understand that your furry friend is like your child. That was one of the things that sold me on the place to begin with.

Owner response:Thank you so much for coming to Saltwater Cottage! We intentionally make it perfect, clean and adorable so you will alllllll have the time of your life, and your little dog, too! Please share the Saltwater Cottage with your friends and family. We love it when we have new vacationers from the suggestions of past guests. All the best, Lisa and Steve

Ther perfect Mother Daughter getaway!!

Guest: Kathy (Enumclaw, WA)
Date of Stay: 04/03/12 Review Submitted: 04/08/12

My 16 year old daughter and I were lucky enough to stay here for a 5 day Mother Daughter trip. We had an amazing time and made so many special memories to last a lifetime. The cottage is clean, comfy, cozy, peaceful, and decorated so beautiful. It has everything you need to feel right at home. The owners are so nice and have thought of everything you need, with so many little special touches that just make you smile. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is stocked for cooking, the table is perfect to craft on, and the living room comfy for late night movies. The beach is wonderful, we had so much fun beachcombing. We found 82 sand dollars all in one walk and saw the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. There is a sweet little coffee shop in town, and a good bakery too. But mostly we stayed at the cottage and had special family bonding time. We tried several new recipes, baked a cake, crafted until 2 in the morning most nights, watched movies on the DVD player, listened to music, talked, sang, danced, and giggled. This is the perfect place for a Mother Daughter trip. We can't wait to go back to our home away from home. You will love it!

Owner response:WOW.. Kathy..Thank you. you know this kinda review makes it allll worth while! Im glad you had such wonderful days with your sweet girl. There is never enough TIME..only if we carve it out will we ever do it....take the dive and come on out to the beach, readers..I bet you wont regret it..just ask Kathy!

A fantastic family time had by all!

Guest: Kim and Brian Smelser (Stanwood, WA)
Date of Stay: 02/18/12 Review Submitted: 02/21/12

We arrived at the Saltwater in our minivan with our 3 young kids. Knowing it was a clamming weekend we had stopped to get my husband all licensed up to dig some yummy goodness. We arrived to find a beautiful, clean , and well stocked little cottage. The little touches make the cozyness just ooze from every nook of this cute little place. The Saltwater is well stocked with most of what you might need for your stya. Dishes, cookware, towels, a functional kitchen. The kitchen provided plenty of room for us to keep our brood fed and happy. It was a little cold and rainy while we were there so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Saltwater has TV cable all hooked up along with a DVD/VCR player! When the need arose it was nice to say... "lets sit down and watch a show" to our busy kids. We had a wonderful time down at the beach flying our kite and learning all about "beachcombing". Pacific Beach is charming and we enjoyed the quaintness of the little place. I would recommend doing most of your grocery shopping before you arrive as the little grocery store is high priced. The staff there however was very helpful and had everything we had "forgotten". The Saltwater had ample room for our family of 5 and we enjoyed our time! The decor is very beachy and we loved it! Thank you Lisa and Steve for providing a fun place to get away for the long President's Day weekend! We will spread the word about your charming slice of heaven at the beach! Thank you!

Owner response:We are so thrilled that you decided to take a last minute trip to our beautiful Pacific Beach and the cozy lil Saltwater cottage! It really is a little house to be cozy in the rain, have some great family time and cook a wonderful freshly dug razor clam meal to serve up! Steve and I hope you will bring your little brood back, maybe in the summertime when the SUN is out, instead of the wind and driving rain! Thanks again for coming, Lisa and Steve

The Perfect Place....December 1, 2011 to February 15th, 2011

Guest: Jean (Clarksville, IN)
Date of Stay: 12/01/11 Review Submitted: 02/14/12

We arrived here on December 1 and today it is Valentine's Day. We rented this wonderful cottage for 3 months to have a place to stay while looking for a more permanent home to relocate to here in Washington. The cottage has everything you will need whether for a weekend or a longer stay. The kitchen is fully equipped, the furniture is cozy and comfortable, and the beds will give you the best night's sleep you have probably had in a very long time. Our stay has been restorative. We slept, worked puzzles, read, watched movies and enjoyed the many birds we had each day at the feeder off the back deck. Every day, weather permitting, we walked into the little town of Pacific Beach. Everyone here was so friendly and welcoming. Ocean Shores is a short and beautiful drive (make sure you stop at Roosevelt Beach) to buy groceries or take in a movie. The road leading down to the beach is just around the corner from the cottage and we spent many hours walking up and down collecting sand dollars and allowing our little beagle, Gordon, to just be a dog. We have had a wonderful time. Lisa and Steve have put a lot of attention to detail so your stay here will be comfortable and accomodating. We are going to miss this place when we pull out in the morning and will always cherish this time we had here.

Owner response:Steve and I sure did enjoy you staying at our Saltwater Cottage this winter. We hope you will enjoy your new life in Washington state. Thanks so much..Lisa

What a delightful time my little family had celebrating Thanksgiving in Pacific Beach! We were looking for a nice getaway, and this fit perfectly. The Saltwater is a very charming, comfortable little place...We cooked a turkey, watched too many football games, kept up with friends and family via wifi, played cards, walked the beaches...even ventured to Ocean Shores for a movie. The cottage had everything we needed.

Owner response:Who could resist a Thanksgiving at the beach! We are so happy you had a great time..Saltwater cottage is a perfect getaway for family time holidays! Come back again real soon! Lisa and Steve

Cozy Cottage Getaway

Guest: Well Rested (SeaTac, WA )
Date of Stay: 09/18/11 Review Submitted: 09/26/11

Took my dog and father to the beach for a week getaway trip. The cottage is a wonderful cozy place to relax and unwind from the busy city life. Our timing could not have been more perfect. Late September and the weather was still beautiful. We spent alot of time at the beach since it was only two blocks from where we stayed. The sunsets were awesome. I am looking forward to going back around the same time next year.

Owner response:Teresa, We are so glad you, your Father and your puppy dog had great weather and such a terrific time at our Saltwater Cottage! I always say that summer at the beach starts in September.. We sure hope you come back again. Dont forget to tell your friends and family about the sweet spot you found here in Pacific Beach! great cottage

Date of Stay: 07/28/11 Review Submitted: 08/01/11

Our family had a wonderful time this past weekend at the Saltwater Cottage! We loved how clean and cozy the cottage was. The beds were comfy and the entire house had a warm and inviting feel to it. The cottage is very well maintained and has cute beach decorations throughout it. The beach was very close to the cottage and our children were able to easily find many sand dollars! We took a short drive into Ocean Shores, went to the playground near the cottage, and were even able to visit another beach that the owners recommended to us prior to our arrival. We have already recommended the cottage to many friends and can not wait to return again! Our only disapointment was that there was a shower and no bathtub as our 3 year old does not like taking showers :(

Owner response:Hollidays, Steve and I are so happy that you had a great weekend at our lil Saltwater Cottage! When we decided to purchase this second vacation cottage I wanted to make sure that the beds were the ultimate in comfy..you nailed it for me! They are pretty cozy! We hope you come out again soon..We would love to have you and any of your friends. Thanks again for staying with us! Steve and Lisa
