This relaxing house is located next to a beautiful redwood grove at the edge of town in a quiet neighborhood. It sits on top of the hill with a splendid dining view of Arcata Bay and the lights of Eureka at night. The great room is open and comfortable with breathtaking views of the redwoods. A unique hot tub room with surround windows opens up to the majestic redwoods. Inspirational nature photography by locally renowned artist/owner lines the hallway w/photographs of the area. Some informattion pamphlets and flyers for local attractions are available at the house. If you have any further questions about the area we are available to help.
Sleeping arrangements include three bedrooms with queen beds: master bedroom has queen bed and attached bathroom; one bedroom has a full bed and a twin; two bedrooms have full beds; and one bedroom has two twins. Three bedrooms are at street level (wheel chair accessible) and two are downstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped, including pots, pans, dishes and plenty of cupboard space.
Upon receiving your reservation, we will email you a rental agreement to be read, signed and returned with your rental payment.

We came from Galt, Napa, San Francisco, and Seattle to this fantastic home in the Redwoods to celebrate my sons graduation from HSU! It was perfect for a family gathering & celebration. The two rooms downstairs were great for my niece, nephew, and their two young children. The upstairs was very spacious and the view into the forest gave us the feeling we were staying in a treehouse! The owner was incredibly helpful & very patient with me & my many questions. We would definately stay again & recommend this home to friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This place is great for a large group of people. The view is beautiful from the living room. The five bedrooms give enough space to spread out. It is on a cul de sac which is great for kids. We had two Elk visit us the second evening that we were there. It is almost the top of a hill and there is a great little walk very close by to enjoy the forest. The two bathrooms can be a bottleneck if you have a big group but the kitchen is well equipped with enough dishes, cutlery, bowls and cooking utensils. There are two gorgeous beaches (the sand goes on forever) within 10 miles of the house, one towards Eureka and one towards the north.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We are an adventurous couple who love to travel. We bought the house in 2006. We now live one and a half hour inland next to the Trinity River where we take people rafting, kayaking and run a photography business. Our property next to the river is also available for group camping with river frontage. We will also consider house swapping during winter months if you have something to offer in a tropical location. One soak in our hot tub solarium as you gaze out into your own private grove of giant redwoods and you will be glad you made the choice of our house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love coming here to cool off on the coast in the summer. It gets pretty hot out in Trinity County. The kitchen and den are all one room, spacious, with solid windows facing the redwoods. Most of all, it is the relaxing time in the hot tub where you can open all the windows in the solarium and be outside with the big trees.
