  Both the house and its location are unique and impressive. We enjoyed watching the waves splash up on the rocks, seeing the seals come and go, and wandering around the house admiring all the unusual ornatments. The house is older, but well maintained and FULL of character. There is one bedroom on the main floor so this was perfect for the few members of our party that would have had difficulty on the stairs. The kitchen was well stocked and there were linens in abundance, so we felt well provided for. A big thank you to the owners for this very memorable experience.

  My girlfriends and I stayed a long weekend in early March at the House at Dragon's Cove. I had seen it from above on Hwy. 101 numerous times and couldn't believe it when I found out it was available to rent! The setting is completely unbelievable, and the house itself amazing, funky and unique. There's a beautiful water feature in the front and nothing in back but a sloping lawn to the rocks upon which the ocean ceaselessly crashes. I could sit there and just watch for hours and not get bored. We especially enjoyed watching the harbor seals every low tide. The house was clean and very comfortable, with several choices for sitting and relaxing. The kitchen was well-stocked; the bedrooms and baths had everything we needed. The property manager was very responsive and easy to deal with. I just loved lying in bed at night and feeling the house shudder periodically from the crashing of the waves. There are a number of wonderful restaurants in Yachats, just a mile north on Hwy. 101. My personal favorites are the Drift Inn (live music every Saturday night) and Green Salmon (closes at 2 p.m., and closed on Mondays), which has the best coffee and tea on the Oregon coast. (Try the Banshee Brew!) Their pastries and lunches are fabulous as well. You could spend all day exploring Cape Perpetua: Cook's Chasm (just south of the house) features Thor's Well and the Spouting Horn. Devil's Churn may make you seasick! And there's a wonderful trail that runs between the parking lot at Cook's Chasm and the USFS day use area at Devil's Churn. There's also a short, lovely loop trail around the top of Cape Perpetua, with spectacular views to the north and south. I highly recommend this rental and would definitely stay here again.

  What a fabulous place-very artistically designed and decorated! And the location-location--LOCATION!!! Rick was SO acommodatingwith ALL my requests! I even got to bring my tiny precious bunny STAR! >:o) The waves were HUMONGOUS!! Could NOT tear myself away from watching them! And when it got too dark to watch waves? You could adjorn to the fireplace room with LATTES!! I felt this close to Heaven! And like I had stepped into a DREAM WORLD! The house was immaculate and the beds ALL were VERY comfortable-and so were the RECLINERS!! Very important you know when relaxing . . .Had ALL kinds of weather-TERRIFIC storms-lightning and thunder and 3 inches of hail--and RAIN!!!-and even TWO days of sunshine and short sleeve weather!! And watching the seals/sea lions--with a baby!! WOW!!! Went up to Cape Perpetua and visited several State parks-and hiked around-FUN!! Can't wait to go BACK!!!! The only thing missing? Wished there were flood lites to watch the waves when it got dark--and maybe a jacuzzi!!! THEN i KNOW I would be in HEAVEN!!!

  The House at Dragons Cove was the perfect place for our stay. The house fit my extended family perfectly. There was plenty of room for my daughter and her family of 4, my mother, aunt, and myself. The view of the ocean from the kitchen/dining room and one of the living areas (there are two separate living areas), was outstanding. The house was quirky and fun with the dragon theme throughout and so comfortable it was hard to leave. The large flat lawn area gave the kids plenty of room to play without having to worry about them getting too close to the water. I would definitely enjoy returning to the House at Dragons Cove. The kitchen was large and well stocked. I baked, frosted, and stored a three layer wedding cake and there was still room to make and serve meals, or for someone to just hang out in the kitchen with me.

  We enjoyed our 4 day stay at this home & property. We saw Harbor Seals and Sea Lions on the rocks right out in front of the property every evening along with Pelicans & 3 Gray whales in the morning.The yard is a great place for kite flying. Appreciated having a full size kitchen. We ate most of our meals at home. We found it slept 8 comfortably. The little girls in the family loved the kids loft. I highly recommend this home & property. Restaurants in Yachats: 5 stars to Ona. Great atmosphere with excellent food & wine. 4 stars to Luna Fish House: Friendly wait staff and great food! They also have a kid's menu. Eating on picnic tables outside is fun for the entire family,

  I stayed two nights at the House at Dragon's Cove and cannot recommend it highly enough! The view was absolutely breathtaking and while my guests and I had initially intended on exploring the surrounding area, we were far too enraptured by the beauty and multitude of activities available at the house, and so chose to stay there the entire time! From the seal island to the various hidden treasures within the house, this was a top notch location to stay. I highly recommend it and cannot wait to stay there again in the future!

  We stayed at the Dragon's Cove house recently as part of a mini family reunion. We have stayed at many many homes along the central coast and I would rate this home the best. The dragon motif is carried off very well and the location is outstanding.

  This is our second time renting this enchanting home. Where else can you have a back yard meadow the size of a football field and on the rocks just beyond 30 plus seals sunning on the rocks. the foliage is beautiful, the surf crashing on the rocks breathtaking and the two paths down the side of the hill giving some of the most scenic pictures on all the coast. The home is charming filled with beautiful handmade quilts, a reading nook that is unique and check out the dragon's eyes lights on the sides of the house that glow as the sun goes down jeanne
