  We stayed in the Moutaineer last winter. What a beautiful cabin! It had everything we wanted to create an amazing weekend. We also had a great time walking around the property in the snow and skiing on Saturday. Thank you so much! We're definitely looking forward to coming back and recommending to our friends.

  The cabin was beautiful on the inside and exactly as described. Loved the solid wood furniture! The cabin was clean and well maintained. The hot tub was great and was very relaxing!!. The owners were very informative and responsive. The cabins weren't too far away from the city of Morgantown and the WVU campus. We still got to experience a peaceful vacation, however, if you wanted to enjoy a WVU game, restaurants and/or nightlife, you didn't have to drive far too find it. Beds were extremely comfortable! Only suggestion would be for the owners to install a landline telephone because we never had enough cell phone service to allow communication, and it would have been difficult to call in case of an emergency. Other than that, the experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend this cabin to others! If you are looking for an enjoyable, relaxing, nature-filled trip, this is the place to be! Loved it and would gladly stay again!

  The Mountain Creek Cabin resort is the perfect little place for a getaway vacation. Secluded in their own little glen, the cabins at Mountain Creek Cabin resort are a peaceful retreat from the world with a warm home feeling. Mark & Sheila really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome with all the amenities and extras they provide, and the personal touches they add make it that much better. For a few days or a week, as a family trip or just a quite weekend for two, it's the place to be. If there's one vacation spot to pick, it's the Mountain Creek Cabin Resort.

  My husband and I rented the Caleb cabin during a trip to Morgantown, WV recently. This was the most unsatisfactory lodging accommodation we have ever stayed in, and especially at the rate we were charged. Specifically, the cabin was filthy with dirt and cobwebs in every corner, stains on the carpeting, excessive cobwebs dirt and debris on the overhead fan, no central ventilation which made the bedroom stiflingly hot, the towels were stained and grey and were supposed to be white as was the bath rug, there were stains on the sheets and the comforter on the downstairs bed which was smaller than even a double bed and very uncomfortable. The deck, hot tub and plastic leather couch were all grimy and it was apparent none of them had been cleaned in some time. There were 2 light bulbs blown out and no replacement bulbs. Around the sink in the bathroom there was excessive toothpaste spatter on the wall and when we turned on the bathroom faucet some chunks of dirt and hair came out and settled into the sink basin, further proof that the cabin had not been cleaned in some time. The advertisement of the accommodations is very inaccurate, don't be fooled. Finally, after all this happened we contacted the owners and they stated that "We will check the cobwebs and ceiling fan right away. I can assure you all linens were thoroughly washed even if they looked grey to you....." WOW!!

  Owner response: We have addressed these concerns. Weve actually cleaned cobwebs and ceiling fans at all cabins just to make sure. I can assure all renters that our linens are hi temperature washed before your visit ( The bathmats were purchased grey to match the decor). Weve checked the built in A/C, it is a 5000 btu unit for a 576 sq/ft cabin which has been more than adequate, but if we get any future complaints we will defininitely upgrade it. We have measured the bed and it is definitely a full-size bed from a large furniture chain ( we have never in over 1000 renters recieved a bed-size complaint). We have addressed all the concerns of this complaint so our future renters will have a great time staying with us.

  Nothing beats sitting on the back deck listening to nothing but the wildlife. It was very relaxing and I can't wait to go back!

  The listing/cabin was exactly what I expected. The photos of the cabin described the cabin that I stayed in. It was clean and very well maintained. There were dishes and silverware and all appliances were in perfect working order. The hot tub was great and very relaxing. The owners were very informative of activities available in nearby towns. Would highly recommend whitewater rafting. Hiking on the property was alot of fun. The cabins are far enough away from the city of Morgantown to give you a very peaceful vacation, however, if you want to enjoy restaurants and/or nightlife, you don't have to drive far to find it. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!
