Chateaux condos are well maintained. In the last 3 years the windows, sliding doors and balconies were all replaced. It is very quiet on the top floor, with no one above you and there are no condos adjoining any of the walls.
Conveniently located- short walk to base ski area which has shops and restaurants. Free bus runs every 15 minutes and picks up in the parking lot just outside building. Take the bus to base or to Historic Crested Butte. FREE WI FI, Cable, HBO. Master Bath has jetted tub. Shared Washer & Dryer located on second floor. Conveniently located by the pool, hot tub, his & hers saunas and grilling area. Short walk to Deli and Treasury Liquors and they have movie rentals. Something for everyone! Well equipped kitchen. Ski rack. Games, movies and books.
Master bedroom features queen bed & bath with jacuzzi tub, 1st guest bedroom has queen bed and walkout balcony, 2nd guest bedroom has twin beds with attached bath, 3rd guest bedroom features queen size bunk beds.
Fly into the Gunnison/Crested Butte Airport, just 30 miles down the road from Crested Butte. Car rentals are available at the airport but, most of our guests prefer to allow the Alpine Express Shuttle do the driving. Once in town, you’ll be able to get around via the Mountain Express, the free on-mountain transportation service.

We enjoyed the property very much. One morning we saw a hot air balloon land in the parking lot across the street. That was a lot of fun to see a ballon up so close. We had nice weather,not ever hot and sticky like weather back home. We truly enjoyed the stay. The only thing that would have made it better was an elevator to take you up the 3 flights of steps. The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory was a high point of my stay also. Those caramel covered apples were wonderful. I even brought one home for my husband who had to stay home. We also one day saw a rainbow that came from beyond one mountain and touched the base of the other peak. Really pretty.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We just returned from a wonderful Crested Butte Xmas and the condo was perfect. My wife and two children shared the condo with friends who also had two children. The four bedroom condo, while not large, easily accommodated the 8 of us. My sister, who owns her own condo at CB, was truly impressed by the quality updates and the efficient use of space. It was so close to the slopes that we usually took the 6 minute walk instead of waiting for the bus that runs every 15 minutes. Condo included all the amenities of home (free wifi, cable, fireplace, etc) and, after a day on the slopes, the kids really appreciated the radiant heated floors. Owners were a pleasure to work with. I would strongly recommend the condo to anyone interested in a Crested Butte vacation.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed in this condo for 5 nights in November, excellent choice.. close to everything you want to do in this area... close to the bus stop for pick up to take you to all the attractions in the area.. perfect for couples with children, families, or just 2 people who want to enjoy this beautiful area... each morning you can walk on the large balcony, and get a full view of the beautiful mountain all around you.. skiing is just a hop skip, and a jump away.. Kitchen has been fully remodeled, and absolutely beautiful.. Ample room for 3 or 4 couples to get away, and very affordable.. beautiful fireplace to warm you up in the evenings, or mornings while drinking coffee, and looking out the patio window to the beautiful mountain.. Clean, comfortable, and very affordable for families... excellent condo and can't wait to return again..Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: Our family has been involved in the self storage business and commercial real estate for over 35 years. We love the 'little' hills just west of our hometown Columbus Indiana but the Rocky Mountains especially Crested Butte are where we go to relax, recharge and take in the amazing splendor of mother nature!
Why the Owner Chose Mt. Crested Butte:
We started visiting Crested Butte over 20 years ago. We started coming more often and staying longer! We love our condo at The Chateaux. We named it Belle Vue because of the spectacular views. It is great to sit on the balcony and see the sights. We enjoy walking over to the base area to shop, dine, ski or for a massage. The free Mountain Express bus is just outside the building. So convenient to hop on and ride to base or to charming Crested Butte. Downtown CB is like walking back in time!! Unique dining and shopping. Friendly fun people.
