Shaded by an old live oak, the cottage looks out to the surrounding forest of Douglas Fir, Madrone, and Redwood. The westward vista from the wooden entry deck beckons to the Mendocino coast beyond. Abundant bird and wildlife include year-round residents and seasonal visitors.
The spacious cottage has a high-pitched ceiling, skylights, and a wall of windows looking north. Soothing colors and contemporary furnishings create a relaxed yet sophisticated ambience. The wood-burning stove keeps the space cozy during chilly times of the year, with abundant seasoned Madrone from the property.
The large studio space contains the sleeping, dining, and living areas, with an adjoining galley kitchen. The compact kitchen is well appointed, and with the outdoor charcoal grill, offers complete cooking options.
Ideal for a couple, the cottage can also accommodate a family with young children. The sofa converts to a comfortable single bed, an optional futon sleeps a fourth person. The private bath, with shower, has floor to ceiling tile.
Ravenridge is ideally located as a base for exploring the surrounding wine country, with dozens of tasting rooms within nearby. Fine dining is within half an hour's drive. Or, settle in and enjoy the privacy and quiet of this idyllic retreat.
