This spacious and gracious center stair colonial offers incredible versatility to suit your specific vacation needs. The house can accommodate just your family of 5 or your extended family of up to 18, making it the perfect getaway for smaller or larger groups as their home away from home. Set on a huge lot with plenty of level lawn space, as well as a tennis court that doubles as a basketball and street hockey court, a slate patio in front and wrap around deck in back, it is the perfect setting for al fresco gatherings. Enter the house via the formal foyer with a one-of-a-kind waterfront scene handpainted by a local artist gracing the staircase wall. You have your choice of places to relax between the double living rooms with fireplaces, family room with a TV and ping pong table, large sun porch, formal dining room, and eat in kitchen (with a table that seats 10!) as well as two half baths. Upstairs are two master bedrooms with king sized beds and ensuite baths, and two more bedrooms and another full bath. If you wish to sleep more than 8 people, there is a third floor "bunk room" that has four single beds. For more than 12 people (or for those wishing a bit more privacy) there is an attached in-law suite. The Suite has another bath with a shower only, a full kitchenette, a separate entrance (but can also be accessed from the main house) and a private deck, that sleeps up to four more people. Less than a mile to Niles Beach and 2 miles from the white sands and surf of Good Harbor Beach. Also about a mile to Rocky Neck, the oldest Art Colony in the U.S. and home to many galleries, shops and a few great restaurants. Listing reflects both the main house and the suite. Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was very happy with the location. The vacation rental was spotless. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We all enjoyed the stay very well. The only negative was finding out on checkout morning that we were responsible for doing all the laundry. That was in the book, but should have been brought to our attention, not just left there to yield a higher cleaning fee. A trip to the laundromat saved the day (and us some money), but becasue it was an unexpected hitch, it marred an otherwise perfect stay. Manager responded on 10/20/2011: We had the pleasure of reading your effusive and ecstatic review of your stay at Bell View which you wrote in the guest book. We are so gratified that you had a wonderful family reunion at Bell View. We do regret that your departure was marred by the laundry, and have revised our departure instructions asking that the guest only strip beds and pile laundry together for the cleaner. We do agree, that due to the size of the house laundry is a chore that should be handled by the cleaning crew. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was absolutely beautiful, both location and the house and furnishings. There was a fair amount of dust in the corners and under the beds but other than that it was very pleasant. the only other comment that I have is that is was advertised as 7 bedrooms and we had only access to 5 bedrooms. It was fine in our case we had room for everyone but I thought that it was unfair not to tell us that we would only be able to use 5 bedrooms.
