Property description

Only 10 minutes easy drive into the heart of the city across the Ravenel bridge, 5 minutes drive through the low country marshland to the sandy beaches at Sullivan's Island and a short stroll to the historic Old Village of Mt Pleasant or the restaurants and bars on beautiful Shem Creek for a sunset cocktail looking out across the shrimp boats...wonderful!

Our modern, light and airy 3 level townhouse home has full facilities and a screened deck to enjoy morning coffee or an evening drink plus a double garage to keep your car in the shade.

The top floor has two large bedrooms, both with spacious en-suite bathrooms to ensure privacy for all guests, and a laundry room with washer and dryer.

The open plan living area on 2nd floor has a fully equipped kitchen delightfully flooded with daylight from both sides of the house, a separate dining area and a large lounge space with cable TV plus DVD player and a small balcony looking down on to the communal garden area and fountain. The whole house has secure wi-fi.

The local farmers market is located right across the street every Tuesday from Spring thru Fall for fresh produce and great cooked food and snacks, and Coleman Blvd has plenty more quality boutique restaurants, bars and coffee shops within an easy walk or drive.

The house is in a delightful, quiet, upscale development, tucked away behind Coleman Boulevard.

The Boulevard itself has everything you could need within walking distance, including a Starbucks, banks, gift shops and local caterers offering quality ready meals to buy. Wholefoods and Traders Joe are a 5 mins drive and fresh seafood is available direct from the fishermen and shrimpers on Shem Creek.

There are countless boutique restaurants and bars all within easy walking distance of the house and a short 5 mins drive will take you to the Islands and downtown to add even more choices for your culinary delight.

Our particular favorites are Poe's on Sullivans Island, The Post House in the Old Village (walkable from the house), SNOB and High Cotton downtown.

Watch the dolphins at sunset on Shem Creek, while you enjoy a drink or a meal in one of the excellent restaurants and creek side bars there.

For the summer season the local Farmers Market is 2 mins stroll away every Tuesday, while the bigger market is downtown in Marion Square on Saturdays.

Join locals as they walk the Pitt St Bridge to see the Intra Coastal Waterway, the Ravenel Bridge with its wonderful view of Charleston Harbor and the new Shem Creek nature walk.

The whole area is rich in history. Fort Sumpter, Middleton Plantation, Magnolia Gardens and Boon Hall are a must as well as all the houses and sites of downtown Charleston.

Culturally Charleston is alive with wonderful opportunities. Go on an art walk or a horse carriage ride, check out the massive annual Spoletto Festival.

About the owner: We are from the UK and have lived in Mt Pleasant for over 6 years while working and traveling throughout the USA. We now divide our time between Charleston and London, England.

We absolutely love this house as it has all the charm of the South but with the feel of a quality London town house with high ceilings and lots of light as well as a great location. Our adult children love to visit us here and we want other people to be able to enjoy it the same way we do. Spacious, light and comfortable, and so convenient to all the best that Charleston can offer.
