SEE OUR VIRTUAL TOUR (LINK BELOW) AND OUR UP-TO-DATE CALENDAR TO THE RIGHT. The Penthouse is five blocks from Union Square, Nob Hill, Chinatown and all cable car lines. It's luxurious, comfortable and close to many of the city's points of interest. The third-floor Penthouse is within walking distance to many of the city's attractions and accessible to many more via the famed San Francisco cable cars that traverse the area. The Penthouse is located within a walker's paradise with a Walk Score of 98 out of 100 http://www.walkscore.com/score/1030-bush-st-san-francisco-ca-94109/
If you're looking to take in a play, the Curran Theater, American Conservatory Theater and Marines Memorial Theater are located just off of Union Square. If it's shopping that interests you, choices abound, from multi-level stores like Neiman Marcus and Gumps to smaller signature stores like Tiffanys and Gucci. And then there's dining. San Francisco is known for its fine restaurants and many of them are in the Union Square and Nob Hill areas.
Just four blocks from the Penthouse (on Bush Street near Jones Street) in another direction is Nob Hill, where you can have a drink at the Top of the Mark (Mark Hopkins Hotel) or grab one of the fabled cable cars for a ride to North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf or the Embarcadero.
And while the Penthouse's proximity to many points of interest is a plus, the Penthouse itself is remarkable.
Located in a lovely, vintage building, the Penthouse is beautifully decorated. The living and dining area, which seats 10 people, is richly appointed. It features a real wood burning fireplace. Two of the bedrooms have a queen-size bed and one bedroom has a king-size bed with deluxe down bedding and fourth story views over Bush Street from the balconies. There are TVs, DVDs and stereos in two of the three bedrooms and the living room. All new custom and designer furniture throughout this unit makes for a most comfortable retreat. A washer and dryer are located in the garage for your shared use.
If staying in appeals to you, there is the gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances, including wine refrigerator and built-in Miele coffee/espresso machine. Or there’s always the rooftop, where you can grill with a view and dine with the pleasure of gas heaters. And if none of those sound good, you can call Waiters On Wheels, which delivers food from a variety of restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck’s and Steps of Rome. And last but not least – especially in San Francisco – the Penthouse has a one-car garage.

Let me begin by saying this place is awesome! Definitely top notch in every aspect with a location that you can't beat. 3 Large bedrooms and beds (complete with individual tvs), spacious living, dining, and kitchen area, surround sound throughout the living area, modern and elegant decor, roof top terrace, etc... The list can go on.... A group of us recently rented the Penthouse for a weekend birthday getaway. Three couples who had never been to SF stayed at the property. It more than exceeded our expectations and would definitely recommend any group stay there when choosing to visit SF. If I ever head back I will be staying there again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I love to travel and have stayed in all types of accommodations. This home was beautiful and perfect for 3 women on a fun trip to San Francisco. The beds were heavenly and each bedroom was roomy with lots of storage space. Union Square was an easy walk as well as nearby restaurants. We took a wine tour and were picked up within a block from the house. The area was safe, making evening walks enjoyable. The information packet sent from the owners answered all our questions and gave recommendations for places to eat and things to do. We loved our dining experience at Gary Danko. Would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

6 of us celebrated my birthday in SF at the Penthouse! Beautiful place, with every amenity available. The rooftop deck was our favorite place to gather, with tables and chairs for 8+, and 2 heaters to keep us warm. We enjoyed the place, cooking, and having a great time. Very close to most everything, including cable car routes! Thanks for a wonderful stay in SF.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

This is really a beautiful, spacious apartment, complete with elegant furnishings and a super deluxe gourmet kitchen (with espresso machine!). There is a lovely outside deck, which we enjoyed on the day of our arrival. As stated by the other reviewers, the pictures are very accurate. The beds are really comfortable. Our group consisted of three couples and it was perfect for a group of this size. This location is perfect - close to great restaurants, downtown shopping, Union Square, Nob Hill and Chinatown and further away, but still within walking distance to other San Francisco sites such as Fishermen's Wharf and Telegraph Hill. The street is busy so there can be some noise at night but we expected this would be the case and this wasn't a problem for us. The apartment itself is very quiet. The booking process was very efficient and the information received by the owner was helpful. In summary, we highly recommend this apartment to others - you won't be disappointed!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

I booked this apartment for my parents and my sibling during my wedding in SF. After taking a tour of the apartment, my husband and I wish we had booked that apartment instead of the Clift hotel. The apartment is very well decorated with beautiful and modern furniture and an amazing roof deck. The only complaint we had was the elevator was broken the first day we were there. As soon as we contacted the owner, someone was sent to fix the issue and the elevator was back up and running in no time. If we ever get a chance to go visit San Francisco again, we'll be sure to stay at this gorgeous penthouse!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I stayed here in October with my family (2 adults and 4 kids aged 9-14). The apartment was lovely, clean and very comfortable - and as displayed in the photos. The decor was beautiful with lots of little touches to make it feel like home and the beds were comfortable. It was a lovely surprise to get a welcome bottle of wine too (which we enjoyed on the roof deck)! It was conveniently located not too far from Union Square, and had a selection of restaurants nearby (we ate at the Japanese just down Bush Street heading towards Union Square which was great) and two small supermarkets across the road. Customer service from Jennifer was excellent. Whilst we were staying the Garage was out of use (due to repairs) so we had our parking paid for (located one block away) and we were reimbursed $50 per night for inconvenience. It was unseasonably hot whilst we stayed and there was no air conditioning and one bedroom with no fan, so it was quite warm at night, but this was not a major problem. We would happily stay here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it without hesitation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time at this home for 3 couples in San Fran. Its walking distance to shopping and restuarants, cab ride to Fishermans Warf was around $7. Loved the shared deck upstairs, beds were comfortable and rooms had closet space. We used all 3 bedrooms (the murphy bed had no complaints). It is a bit loud at night so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. The coffee machine was awesome and was very well used. Had everything we needed there would stay here again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

The listing description was accurate regarding location. The penthouse was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished and the photos provided were an accurate representation of the penthouse. We were very comfortable and happy there. The owners seem to have thought of everything you might need during your stay there. It is truly a home from home. I would recommend this apartment without reservation! The package and information the owners provided made locating the penthouse easy and the lists of restaurants and attractions most helpful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We absolutely loved staying at the penthouse. There was 6 adults in our party and felt that there was plenty of space. The location is perfect!! Close walking distance to Union Square, Nob Hill, cable cars and many great restaurants! The Penthouse felt like home. The place has everything you could need including comfortable beds and a computer with printer so you can print out your airline boarding passes!! Our favorite part of the penthouse was the rooftop patio. We ejoyed eating takeout Thai food one night while on the patio and stayed nice and warm with the provided heaters. We also loved enjoying our morning coffee there as well. San Francisco is one of our favorite cities to visit and we hope to stay at the Penthouse again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The penthouse was very comfortable for our group of 5, and we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in San Francisco. The location was fantastic for cable car, BART and excellent walking. Beds were comfortable, with TVs and Ipod friendly stereos available in most rooms. We appreciated the Modern coffee machine too.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.
