SEE OUR VIRTUAL TOUR (LINK BELOW) AND OUR UP-TO-DATE CALENDAR TO THE RIGHT. The Penthouse is five blocks from Union Square, Nob Hill, Chinatown and all cable car lines. It's luxurious, comfortable and close to many of the city's points of interest. The third-floor Penthouse is within walking distance to many of the city's attractions and accessible to many more via the famed San Francisco cable cars that traverse the area.
If you're looking to take in a play, the Curran Theater, American Conservatory Theater and Marines Memorial Theater are located just off of Union Square. If it's shopping that interests you, choices abound, from multi-level stores like Neiman Marcus and Gumps to smaller signature stores like Tiffanys and Gucci. And then there's dining. San Francisco is known for its fine restaurants and many of them are in the Union Square and Nob Hill areas.
Just four blocks from the Penthouse (on Bush Street near Jones Street) in another direction is Nob Hill, where you can have a drink at the Top of the Mark (Mark Hopkins Hotel) or grab one of the fabled cable cars for a ride to North Beach, Fisherman's Wharf or the Embarcadero.
And while the Penthouse's proximity to many points of interest is a plus, the Penthouse itself is remarkable.
Located in a lovely, vintage building, the Penthouse is beautifully decorated. The living and dining area, which seats 10 people, is richly appointed. It features a real wood burning fireplace. Each of the three bedrooms has a queen-size bed with deluxe down bedding and fourth story views over Bush Street from the balconies. There are TVs, DVDs and stereos in two of the three bedrooms and the living room. All new custom and designer furniture throughout this unit makes for a most comfortable retreat. A washer and dryer are located in the garage for your shared use.
If staying in appeals to you, there is the gourmet kitchen with top of the line appliances, including wine refrigerator and built-in Miele coffee/espresso machine. Or there’s always the rooftop, where you can grill with a view and dine with the pleasure of gas heaters. And if none of those sound good, you can call Waiters On Wheels, which delivers food from a variety of restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck’s and Steps of Rome. And last but not least – especially in San Francisco – the Penthouse has a one-car garage.

My husband and family stayed at the Penthouse for Thanksgiving break, and it was our first time renting a home/condo while on vacation. And what a great experience. The home was beautiful - just like the pictures show. The bedrooms are all up stairs making it comfortable for those who want to stay up and for those who want to go to bed early! There are two full bathrooms - the one downstairs being my favorite with the awesome shower! There's access to the roof - with gas heaters and lots of seating. The house comes with lots of towels and two hairdryers. There are hotel sized shampoo and conditioners, but not enough for 6 people to share - and with no maid service, you should definitely bring your own stuff! The beds are so comfortable - I don't think I've had a better sleep while on vacation. The condo's kitchen is fully supplied with pots, pans, coffee maker (and grinder), toaster, etc. The gas stove is awesome! The location was perfect, close to the cable car pick up, close to Union Square / Nob Hill - everything you can walk to. It also felt very safe! When we visit San Francisco again, we'll be sure to check on the Penthouse's availability.

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Penthouse. We were a family of 5 (with young children), so having space and creature comforts were very important to us. The Penthouse certainly delivered! I personally loved the kitchen, as I have a great love for cooking and can appreciate the upper end appliances. Having an espresso machine was sheer delight in the mornings! We also really enjoyed the roof top deck, and wished that the weather would have allowed us to utilize this area more. Overall the Penthouse did have most of the things we needed and enjoy. It is a well maintained and cared for property. I appreciated the cleanliness and attention to detail. It was comfortable and well located a few blocks from Union Square. I lived in San Francisco for many years, but I must admit, I am not in the loop on the good restaurants any longer. It could be very nice and useful if there were recommendations available. The only real minus was that the street noise levels at night can hamper a good sleep. This however was a minor issue that was far outweighed by all of the good things the Penthouse has to offer! We would most definitely like to stay here again! I also would like to thank Jennifer for being very accommodating, and thorough. It was a pleasure!

We rented this Penthouse for about 10 days as we prepared for our daughter & son-in-law's wedding. We wanted a place that felt like home and would provide a respite for us during this hectic time. This Penthouse met that criteria, and in many ways, exceeded it. It was beautifully appointed -- everything it promised to be and then some. We were welcomed by a complimentary bottle of our favorite chardonnay as we explored the beautiful kitchen -- top quality, from appliances to decorating. It appeared that the 1st floor bathroom had been recently remodeled/updated and it, too, was magnificent. The bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds were extremely comfortable. We also had easy access to the wonderful deck where we enjoyed lunches in the sunshine and dinners in the cool evenings using the 2 heat lamps. We were grateful to have access to the 3rd bedroom where we could use the owner's computer. In that room is a very comfortable Murphy bed which was used by the bride & her sister the night before the wedding. Since it is on the top floor, we were grateful to have the elevator for heavy luggage & various wedding materials. We were also glad to have use of the owner's garage as well as the street space in front of the garage. The owner's packet of information disclosed the caveat regarding the use of this street space, and it is good to pay attention to the conditions for moving your car at restricted times. We told the management company that we had only 1 disappointment, and it was a minor one that I believe will be addressed by them. We didn't have enough hangers for our clothes, so I found some from a generous dry cleaner down the street, and that settled that! And one last word of caution: If you are unaccustomed to the noises of city life or are a light sleeper, bringing a good set of ear plugs will solve that problem. The home, like so many in San Francisco, is close to a street that is busy & often noisy -- but it's all part of the San Francisco lifestyle, and staying at the Penthouse is an experience not to be missed!

The Penthouse is a beautiful getaway within the city. Several nights we just ordered dinner in as the accomodations were so pleasant (and we were so tired) and there are some great places that deliver. We ate terrific Chinese food on the roof! Several markets within 2 blocks had any other food/laundry items that we needed. We were close to subway, cable cars and buses.... truly a convenient location. Saturday night there were a few fireworks and "happy" people when the bars closed, but otherwise the city sounds were white noise. The beds were comfy and the the bathrooms ideal! Thanks for a wonderful haven after our daily adventures!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the penthouse condo near Union Square. The rooms were large, and the kitchen and baths were modern and very convenient. The garage parking was a lifesaver, and we traveled easily all over the city from this central location. We found everything to be as advertised, and the property was immaculate and very well decorated. I would recommend this property very highly, and we hope to stay there again on our next trip to the City.

Spent a long birthday/anniversary weekend with family and friends at the Penthouse. It is the perfect location for access to all San Francisco has to offer, and beautiful and comfortable as well. Where else are you going to find a 3 bedroom condo, with a garage, in the heart of San Francisco? We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning again next year!

We enjoyed our time in the condo. Three bedrooms and two full baths with a spacious kitchen. We stayed four days and had an easy time getting to all the great attractions. There's even a local car rental company about two blocks away! We rented a car for a day trip to Tiburon and it couldn't have been easier. The garage was a BIG asset, especially when friends came in from Sacremnto for the day and there was no street parking available.

Excellent choice for San Francisco. Beautiful unit (with parking!) located a few blocks from Union Square. Can't beat it for location, size, comfort, and convenience. We had 3 couples staying for the weekend and never felt crowded. Typical of San Francisco, the building is innocuous from the outside, but once in the unit, you are in a real luxury environment. The pictures on the website say it all. Everything was neat, clean, and thoughtful touches and amenities were everywhere. Even the computer was "on" and ready for internet use. The sundeck was a real plus, too. Rent with confidence. The owner's assistant, Libby, is very organized and thorough and makes the rental process a smooth and easy one.

The Penthouse is perfect for a group of five or six. We loved sitting on the roof deck and enjoying the gorgeous meticulous garden. The bathrooms, beds, linens, and furnishings are luxurious. Also, the location, garage, elevator and other special features make this penthouse the perfect vacation spot in the city. Highly recommended.
