I had a ‘beary’ wonderful time visiting Dolphin Watch on Galveston Island in Texas! This property is everything I need in a vacation home. I especially loved the satellite TV in every room while relaxing at home after a day of fun on the island. I enjoyed hearing and seeing the beauty of the ocean from the spacious front deck. Having an outdoor sink or shower is a must after spending time on the beach, and this property had BOTH available for my use. It was a great!
The layout of this home fit my bear taste perfectly. The kitchen was ‘beary’ nice to cook in. (You’ll love the granite counter tops!) The home was clean, and the décor was lovely – just take a look at the photo of my “swim with the dolphins”! The home is conveniently located a short distance away from the hustle and bustle of the city. If you’re planning on visiting Galveston, you’ll be sure to feel ‘beary’ at home at Dolphin Watch.

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
We bought this house in Galveston in 2001 from my business partners family "The Fikaris Family". They built the house in 1967. We completely remodeled the home in 2001 and are continually adding something new every year.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is a 3 minute walk to the beach, and we have 2 fountains, a large water fall, & a spa on the property. I love throwing the frisbe with the kids and having my favorite glass of wine on the deck overlooking the gulf.
West End Marina has many new amenities in Sea Isle which include, The Sand Bar, The Ice House, & The West End Restaurant.

The property was excellent. The downstairs bedroom and bath were perfect for out two daughters and their two friends. The bar area is great and we enjoyed dinner there Friday and Saturday nights. Nice location and Kerry could be easier to deal with. Go ahead and book it, you can't go wrong.

The sleeping arrangements were tight for 10 adults, but the property was wonderful overall. The golf cart was an unexpected surprise, and we spent lots of time downstairs at the bar. We would definitely consider staying here again with fewer people.

The photos don't do this house justice. It is easy the nicest house on the block. Galveston was great we went for Memorial Day weekend and had the time of our lives. Loved big yard and Tiki Bar so much there was days we didnt even go to the beach. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Galveston!!

Comfy house with all the amenities. Short walk to the beach. We drove over in the mornings with all our beach gear and then walked back and forth throughout the day. Best thing about the house? OUTDOOR SHOWER. So nice to rinse the beach off at the end of the day. Downstairs third bedroom can only access main floor from an outside entrance. We weren't comfortable leaving the little kids in there to sleep alone so we had to have a parent stay with them, but that was our only hiccup. Great place!

Stayed @ Dolphin Watch the first week of April, 2011. The home is very clean & well appointed w/ anything you need. Wheelchair ramp was handy for our guest. Close enough to walk to beach and not get sand in our vehicles or have to carry lunch, quck walk back to eat. Use of hot tub, dish tv, internet, washer/dryer, outdoor shower, grill - all very handy. Cooked our own meals to save $. We were able to enjoy our children, grandchildren & my father all under the same roof. The water was warm enough and the weather wasn't too hot to have a beach vacation early in April. The owner was prompt in responding to all email questions, payments were all handled smoothly. This was the first time we'd ever rented a vacation home & Dolphin Watch was everything we hoped for. I would recommend this property to anyone interested in a relaxing family vacation.

What a pleasant surprise! Everything was "as advertised"! We stayed there with 3 teenage boys and they were never bored. From renting a kayak for the week to the "Man Cave" downstairs- what a memory for them. The house was beatiful-we had everything that we needed and more. Both kitchens were fully stocked with every kind of device you could imagine. The rooms were just perfect. The home was decorated beautifully-you wanted to treat it like your own home. The hot tub was a bonus for the boys who, many nights stayed in it until 2am. Hats off to Kerry (the owner), he was wonderful to work with! Just close enough to the beach but just far enough away to run home and grab lunch. Breath taking view of the surf. All in all it was a GREAT vacation-We will be back!

I've been going to Galveston every summer for the past 30 years and this was the best rental that I've experienced. Great location, really close to the water, great views, quiet neighborhood, and close to everything Galveston has to offer. There's a full house upstairs, but owners have turned the bottom floor into a full kitchen with a bathroom and additional room, a big plus. Design of house is ideal for hanging out on the huge patios and enjoying the views. Pictures don't do it justice! I have recommended to friends and family and I can't wait to stay there again!

Wonderful vacation at Dolphin Watch. Our family and my sister-in-laws family stayed together at Dolphin Watch for a week in mid-May 2009. We had 4 adults and 4 children (6 years old, two 5 year olds, and a 3 year old). We had a wonderful time. The house is excellent, cooking here was a dream and we took advantage of all amenities and nearby attractions. The kids experiencing the beach and Gulf for the first time had so much fun. The outdoor shower got a lot of use, as did the wireless DSL to keep in touch with work. The kids had fun at the community pool and park, and the hot-tub at the house. NASA is a must visit, we all enjoyed it, and the city of Galveston had many other attractions which our families enjoyed. Just a great time that will provide a lot of great family memories.
