The West Wind is one of three cottages constructed in 1908 by Captain Lorenzo Dow Baker as part of the Chequesset Inn and it still remains in the Baker family today, in almost original condition. The Inn itself was built on a pier in Wellfleet Harbor, and vacationing families who didn't want to stay there could rent one of the cottages on the bluff.
Sit on the porch of this unique summer cottage, watch boats sail by and enjoy the spectacular views while savoring world famous Wellfleet oysters and clams harvested fresh daily from the shellfish beds below.
