Six girlfriends from high school meet yearly and it is very difficult to find the right accommodation which satisfies all our preferences and meets everyone's expectations...I feel like I struck gold in finding Gulf Gaze...it had everything we wanted and more...enough beds for everyone, two baths, a large gathering area, fantastic deck, and right on the beach...each morning we had coffee under a covered area of the deck and each afternoon we watched the sunset from our lounge chairs on the beach. The owners were so friendly and easy to work with...they even checked on us during our stay! Although I would love to keep this place a secret, I just have to recommend Gulf Gaze to anyone looking for this type of listing. We can't wait to go back!!! A++

My family and my sister-in-law's family shared this home for a spring break get away and what a perfect house it was! We couldn't have asked for a better home. Hearing the ocean waves as you fall asleep and wake up was very relaxing. Our children loved digging for shells and at night looking for little white crabs that come on the beach. We took advantage of the home having a fully stocked kitchen and cooked most of our meals. The home is perfect for a small family or, in our case, 2 families that want to share the experience together. I would reccommend this home to anyone who wants the experience the ocean first hand.

Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful beach home with our extended family for the week. We had the best and most relaxing vacation with our kids and grandkids. The weather was great and the food was good; but best of all was staying on the beach in your home (with all the conveniences of our home) made it seem as if we didn't have a care in the world and owned our own private piece of paradise! We're already talking about and planning for next year!

Our family just returned from our first stay at Gulf Gaze last night. Today we booked it for a week next summer. This was our first real family vacation with our five children and it was awesome. We were able to sit on the deck and watch the kids chase crabs and play in the sand. We were close enough to the house when we were all at the beach that we could easily walk back as the kids needed, and could also easily haul kayaks back and forth between the house and beach. Our four month old slept a lot because of the sounds of the ocean that you can hear at the house. We had some rain while we were there, but we were still able to enjoy being outside on the covered deck. The water was crystal clear and the beach was very clean. It was a real treat to have a full moon and see rainbows on several days we were there. Vacation ended much too soon!

We had the good fortune to spend a week and Catherine and Wayne's home in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Often when renting through the Internet, you wonder is "what you see, what you get?" In this cas it is even better. The location is a short ride from downtown Gulf Shores, but far enough so you don't see high rise condos, and have the hustle and bustle of downtown. In fact just to the east 200 yards you have two miles of state parks, sand dunes, and undisrupted sea turtle nesting areas! The home is beautifully maintained and is built around the large glass windows you see in the pictures. We were looking for a spot just like this and will be returning again....soon! AJ

Our family has just returned from our annual vacation at Gulf Gaze on Cabana Beach. The week was great in every way, the water was clear, the weather was good and the accomodations at Gulf Gaze were great, comfortable and up-to-date, all of which made for a great week. We are making plans to return in 2010. It is high on our list of favorite places to vacation. The crabbing at Fort Morgan pier was fantastic!

On a scale of 1 - 10 Gulf Gaze is a 15 meaning it is awesome. I have stayed at very fancy places in Bermuda and Boca Raton on a business vendor's dime and even though there is no television or phone in the bathrooms or silly gold plated bathroom fixtures Gulf Gaze has it all over those pretentious abodes. Recently on the CNN website an article appeared comparing giving "things" or "memories" to your loved ones. Memories won hands down. Your loved ones will never forget the idyllic Gulf Gaze with its soothing ocean sounds and its unforgettable 24/7 view from both inside and outside. The owners Wayne and Catherine are an absolute treasure to deal with. Try it once and I promise you it will not be your last stay. No, I am not related to them or being paid by them to write this review just so very thankful they have chosen to share their Shangri-La with my family. Sincerely Ron
