Enjoy the panoramic views from The Peak in Southern Shores. Get up early for beautiful sunrises over the ocean, and after your day at the beach, enjoy the pool and hot tub while watching spectacular sunsets on the sound. With an elevation certificate of 54.8 feet, this lot may be the highest in all of Southern Shores.
It's a short walk to Hillcrest Beach, one of the best beaches in Southern Shores. Hillcrest Beach is kid-friendly since it includes lifeguards and portable toilets.
The Peak features four bedrooms, including two master bedrooms with queen beds, and two bedrooms with bunk beds. Every bedroom has a view of the ocean or the sound or both. In addition, every bedroom has a TV with cable and a DVD player, and the masters also have an HBO package and a VCR.
The top floor's open plan allows the family to gather around together for dinner or watching a movie, while also including enough seating and table space for separating off and doing some reading or playing board games. A desk area with high speed internet hookup and office accessories will allow you to check in with the office when necessary, so you can relax throughout the day.
The galley style kitchen is command central, featuring views of the ocean over the sink, and views of the sound over the bar-top. It's easy to keep track of the kids or watch the 42 inch plasma TV while preparing the meals that bring the family together at vacation time. The dual ovens make cooking large meals easier.
Two separate dining tables allow the kids to eat on their own by the bay window, while the adults relax at the main table. Or, add the extensions to the main table and seat everybody together as you review the day's festivities and plan tomorrow's activities.
The fenced in pool area features a 16 foot by 30 foot salt pool (heated for a fee), as well as a gazebo. The gazebo provides a shaded area for the six person hot tub and bench seating. Test your skill on the 12 foot by 20 foot golf putting green, or challenge the family to a game of volleyball or badminton on the sand volleyball court. Move on to a tetherball game, or just relax in the king-size hammock or at the picnic table.
Tired of the sun? Come inside to the game room, featuring a pool table, big-screen TV, playstation, foosball, and plenty of seating to relax and take it easy. So comfortable you may find yourself taking a long nap as you rest up for more fun in the Outer Banks.

THE BEST VIEWS AND OUTSTANDING LOCATION!

Extraordinary 360 degree views of the ocean and the Sound - I am certain no better views exist on the Outer Banks! This beautiful home is within walking distance to the Sound and the ocean, with access to one of the best beach areas (and lifeguard station) in Southern Shores. The reverse living and unique shape of the home provide a phenomenal upstairs open living/dining room and kitchen, perfect for entertaining large gatherings and watching some of the most gorgeous sunsets I've seen. And then you can watch the full moon rise over the ocean, and the morning sunrise. The indoor game room (Pool table, video games, etc.) and back yard (Tetherball, Badminton, putting green, hammock, swing, etc.) complete with pool and hot tub (under the gazebo with climbing flowering vines) provide hours of entertainment for all. This is a great vacation home, complete with two master bedrooms for joint family vacations. Our family was lucky to stay in this home. The owner is curtious, responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to work with, and I highly recommend this home.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

We absloutely had the BEST vacation at the Peak. There was so much space for everyone and plenty to do. Not a moment of boredom. We are so sad that we are not able to rent in 2011. We'll keep an eye out for this property in 2012 though!
