Lake Arrowhead Yacht and Country Club is a private, gated community with 24-hour security nestled in the North Georgia Mountains and only 55 minutes from downtown Atlanta. Lake Arrowhead has a beautiful, 18-hole, mountain, golf course open to the public which is currently under reconstruction! Enjoy watching the deer roam freely as you play. Water recreation includes fishing, swimming and boating. Lake Arrowhead is the largest, man-made, privately-owned lake in Georgia. The lake is approximately 540 acres, with a water depth of 80 to 100 feet. Fish include bass, bream, and catfish. There is also a stable (just south of the South Gate)where horses are available for rent with many miles of trails. Tennis and pool are available for your use.
This beautiful home has 5 bedrooms with five queen size beds (2 cots available) and 3 full baths. Linens are provided and each bedroom has an alarm clock and each bathroom has a blow dryer. The fully stocked kitchen is equipped with new appliances, coffee maker, microwave and garbage disposal. Wireless Internet for your laptop as well as new Flat Screen televisions with VCR and DVD in the Living Room, rec room and master bedroom are available. Enjoy the wet bar in the rec room and deck over looking the lake and mountains.
In the fall and winter you can build a fire in the stone fireplace. During the summer months you can swim right off the dock that is only steps from your back door.
For those of you that enjoy nature, you will be visited daily by our resident Humming Birds, Mallard Ducks, Canadian Geese and an abundance of turtles! Deer can be seen throughout the woods and horses are available for riding.
If you are interested in taking day trips from Lake Arrowhead you can enjoy a variety of amusements. In Atlanta you have, Six Flaggs, White Water, Stone Mountain, Atlanta Braves Baseball to the New Aquarium. In the North Georgia Mountains you can plan a White Water Rafting Trip, train rides through the foothills or one of the many festivals throughout the state!

The Unique Benefits at this House
We provide many water toys: two hydro bikes, a paddle boat, canoe and a trampoline launcher. All those toys are included in the price of the rental. If you want to boat on the lake, we have a pontoon and inner tube you can rent. And for those that like to fish: we have some of the biggest bass living right under our dock!
Our home is a short boat trip to the large part of the lake where skiing and tubing is allowed. The rest of the lake is a "no wake" zone, and can make for a long trip to the mouth of the lake. Be sure to drive in a counter clockwise direction on the lake.
Lake Arrowhead has created hiking trails along the lake, acrosshe lake from our house and throughout the wooded areashe park.
All along the stream.... you can park your car and follow the trail markers...

In October of 2009, we received a request from the Tori and Dean Show to rent our home during their season 5 filming of "Tori and Dean across America". They were touring in a motor home and had plans to stop at Lake Arrowhead to surprise "Patsy" (episode 2) with a home make-over. Tori and Dean with their two children, stayed in our home. Liam stayed in the "Blue room" and Stella stayed in the "green and pink room ". They were super guests and left a nice note in the guestbook.

We have been holding family reunions at this house for years. I would not think of going anywhere else and the grandkids ask every year as they are leaving if we are coming back next year. The listing and pictures do not do it justice and the owners have been great. This is like a mini resort with waterfront views. I would recommend this to anyone who wants have a great time. The fact that it is close to Atlanta is just icing on the cake.

We love going here! We try to go every year and have been blessed to actually go more than that. The view is amazing, the location is amazing and the house is amazing! Weve had 10 adults there at a time to only having my little family of 5 there. Its perfect for adults and perfect for kids! The lake is wonderful too, its never crowded! We highly reccommend this lake house!!!

Let me start by stating that the property owner was very responsive from our first inquiry about renting the house. We are 4 women who work, volunteer extensively, and maintain our families. We usually travel at least once a year however due to life's circumstances we hadn't traveled in 2 years. Our thoughts after each hitting high stress moments were to spend a weekend in the mountains so we decided to rent "A Peace of Paradise" for a girls weekend. Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome note from the owner on the fridge. The house is so cute and each room is framed with inspirational art, which were perfect for helping us to unwind. The bedrooms were all spacious and super comfy including the lofted sleeping area. The dock was very spacious (bigger than what we expected) and the amenities (grill, hydro bikes, kitchen etc.) were plentiful and accessible. Everything from glasses to dishware to even spices for cooking were in the house. We had a blast relaxing and creating art. We painted wine glasses and canvasses on the deck. To wake up each morning to a beautiful lake/mountain view was absolutely incredible. We will be back soon! Thanks!!

We had such a fun time at this lake house. With our grown children and young grandchildren the water trampoline was a big hit. We also enjoyed the water bicycles and the paddle boat. The house was clean, and had everything we needed. We were even able to enjoy adult and child TV at the same time with all the TV's around. The generous supply of games gave us fun nights and the children's books delighted the kids. The owners were very accomodating to us and we would really recommend this house for a family getaway. We enjoyed dinner at the nice clubhouse one night and the kids took advantage of the pool one day (There are two there). The house was comfortable and well stocked for whatever we needed. It is a great place on the lake, secluded yet on a wonderful, deep water section.

Our family of 5 stayed in this wonderful home over September break. What a fantastic time we had! The kids LOVED all the water toys (trampoline, boat, water bikes) as well as roasting marshmellows on the deck. They even caught several fish with the fishing gear provided. The house was beautiful, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The owners were so accommodating and helpful. We cannot wait to go back!

Perfect location for meeting friends from Florida, Nashville and Memphis! The house was the perfect size and everything we needed we found!
