  • Paraiso en Pavones

"This beautiful property sits high above the ocean offering expansive views and exquisite sunsets. The house is spacious, the furniture is comfortable, the relationship of the indoor and outdoor spaces work well, the kitchen has the necessities to cook efficiently and the house and grounds are very clean. All of this in a very remote area which makes it all the more remarkable. Mike and Elizabeth are good people with kind and generous hearts. They know the area very well and can arrange all of your adventures including those you have not even thought of! Don't be afraid to ask questions. The price is very fair for the home as are the costs of the local activities. It is a twenty minute drive in a 4x4 to the closest surfing beaches yet so worth it. And finally, if you want to experience Paraiso en Pavones, book now before someone else does. You will be glad you did!"

  • Little Bit of Heaven

"What a wonderful place. This place exceeded my expectation. When you arrive at Los Suenos it is like going into a beautiful sanctuary. The people at Stay in Costa Rica reception were wonderful.Anytime I would call they would take care of the problem within minutes. The condo was clean and very comfortable, perfect for two people. We made use of the lovely private pool behind our unit, most days we had the pool to ourselves.I rented a golf cart for the first week and we were able to explore the complex and check out the restaurants and the marina.I did 2 sailfish trips that were fun. It is a little tough to get on a trip if you are single.I suggest you go down to the charter dock and talk to the captains and ask if they have any charters that may accept another person. It worked for me as I didn't want to pay $1500 for the whole boat.Sandy in the charter office hooked me up on the first trip which was fair. The second trip I worked myself by talking to the captain Mike of the charter boat EPIC, he had one guy for the next day that he contacted and I and a third person shared the expense. The Epic Is a nice fast 32' L&H. Mike went 40 miles, twice the distance of the first charter and we caught 21 sailfish and lost another dozen. You can't ask for better than that. As far as the tours go,we did Manuel Antonio which was interesting. The catamaran trip to Tortuga was fun. We rented a car and decided to to go to Nauyaca falls which Nicole recommended. If you do this trip I suggest you arrange to go on horseback. The dirt road is very steep and really requires a 4 wheel. I was hesitant with the toyota rental car,but only bottomed out coming back up the steep slope.I recommend going on horseback as you need to walk about 4 K up hill to the falls. You would be better off during the rainy season also. As far as the dining goes,we cooked breakfast and used the grill by the pool. We did go to the Italian restaurant which was good.Gallion's I thought was a rip off $65 for spiny lobster and one was spoiled. They did take it off the bill and offered us desert on the house.Good restaurants in Jaco much more affordable like Poseidon, Lemon Zest and Grafitti. If you are adventurous you can take the local bus to Jaco from the supermarket at the light by the main road for less than $1. John, the owner of the unit was great to deal with and I would highly recommend staying in this unit."

  • First time in Costa Rica - Best trip ever!

"We are a family of five with teenagers. As we have never rented a house through VRBO before, we were pleasantly surprised with the fabulous accommodations and the convenience of it all. The house was spacious and well decorated, with all the necessary amenities in good working order. The Infinity pool and outdoor shower were a big hit. Even my wife who never swims in pools took a few dips. Our youngest boy was in constant awe of the surroundings, with many iguana, toucan, monkey and other animal sightings. We even saw an owl land in a neighbouring palm tree. The owner and his staff really take care of this place and we would recommend it to friends and family. On occasion, the road noise is a bit noticeable, but did not take away from our fabulous experience overall. Jaco and Playa Hermosa are outstanding places to visit. Our kids learned to surf and loved the ATV trip through the mountains, which included swimming in a natural waterfall lagoon. WOW!!! Can't wait to come back in the near future!"

  • Great Place in wonderful Dominical

"Our five night stay here was simply delightful. Dominical, where we have been many times, is an easygoing relaxed place to visit which in and of itself is well worth going to on vacation. The townhouse was absolutely perfect and we could not be happier with the rental. It is located just above domincalito beach with wonderful views, peaceful mornings and easy access to all the activities in the area. The owner was very easy and straightforward to deal problems there at all. I'd highly recommend this place as it is a "turnkey" way to visit the area and our trip to the area could not have been made any easier."
