It offers free guided tours around the house and the beautiful landscaped gardens, and there's a small gift shop. The gardens at the Ormond Memorial Art Museum are also worth a visit. Inside sees changing exhibitions of local Floridian artists. While the MacDonald House Museum is a step back in time as you explore the Queen Anne-style house built in 1903.

Ormond-by-the-Sea is a small beach town resort on the Atlantic coast of Florida, 11 miles north of Daytona Beach. A 3-mile drive north is Tomoka State Park, a swathe of parkland and beach separating the sea and the Tomoka River. Popular with hikers and nature lovers, the park is also a birdwatcher's paradise and over 160 different species can be spotted during the spring and fall migrations. Take a wander along the 1.5 mile nature trail and you may spot a gopher tortoise, a white-tailed deer or a bobcat. There are several picnic pavilions and rest room facilities.
