"Very comfortable home and well stoke kitchen. Close to 441, but you feel like you are miles way form everything."

  • Wonderful getaway on the Soque River

"We were so lucky to find this beautiful home right on the Soque River. What you see in the pictures here is what you get. A beautiful, serene setting with lots of space for a large family gathering. We found the home tastefully decorated, clean, fully stocked with everything we needed from towels and sheets to a fully stocked kitchen. We stayed busy the whole time with fishing, daily walks, lots of board games and books to choose from, Foosball, and Ping Pong. My 88 year old dad was delighted to be able to safely fish off the special dock that is right over the Honey Hole and he was awarded with winning our impromptu fishing tournament by out fishing the rest of us when he caught and landed a 22", 5 1/2 pound brown trout, the biggest fish he has ever caught, and an huge Rainbow that gave him a good fight. Of course, they went back into the water since this is a catch and release location on the river. My 85 year old mom enjoyed the large decks and living room with the big screen tv with cable. She was able to watch all of her usual news programs and shows. My brother-in-law, husband and I spent most days flyfishing. The Soque River is one of the most beautiful in Georgia and beyond. We were especially glad that the owner allows pets and we could bring our small doggies. The owner is so accommodating and is available to answer any questions. It is obvious that he wants everyone that goes there to enjoy it as much as he and his family do and he goes out of his way to make sure his guests are happy. I can't thank him enough for that. My family and I highly recommend this wonderful getaway, especially for flyfishing and family gatherings."

  • Great cabin / great value

"My husband and I had a fabulous week in Northeast Georgia. Clayton area is one of our favorites in North GA due to its proximity to NC and SC and there's so much to see and do. Cabin was cozy, comfortable, clean, had everything we needed and our home away from home for the week. We loved sitting on the porch with a view every afternoon and relaxing. We didn't realize the cabin had a washer/dryer until we got there! Nice plus! We highly recommend using Wildwater, Ltd. for your rafting trips - we've used them on every river they raft and they do a great job. We did Section IV of the Chattooga which was definitely on our bucket list. Also Yonah Vineyards, Tiger Mountain Vineyards and 12 Spies made for a great wine tasting afternoon. Many waterfalls and hikes in the area. This cabin's location is close to it all plus the quaint town of Clayton. Check it out - you'll have a great time!"

  • Awesome Family Vacation!!

"We stayed in house #1. It was perfect for our family of 7! Nicely decorated & clean. We especially loved sitting out on the large deck under the beautiful trees. The trees provide enough cool shade to sit out in the afternoon too. My daughters were fascinated at the hundreds of fireflies outside every night. Spectacular view of the lake from every room in the house & the cove is a excellent spot for tubing w/kids. The boat barn w/ lift fit our 24ft boat nicely & we had a blast swimming, fishing & jumping off the top deck! Hank was very nice & helpful w/anything we needed. Only 5 minutes to Publix & Johnny's pizza (very good!) We will definitely be back to spend a week here again!! Most beautiful lake I've ever seen! We explored the entire lake & we felt this house is in the best location too. This was our 1st time coming to Lake Lanier. We live in South Florida & usually vacation in the Keys, but this was well worth the 10 hour drive! I was skeptical at 1st if this place was as nice as the pictures looked online. I have very high standards for vacation rentals on comfort & cleanliness, and I must say this place was a pleasant surprise! Kitchen has all appliances, coffee pot, clothes dryer, (only con was washing machine doesn't work.) Overall, the views & beauty of this place are far better than the pictures can show! Also, very nice furniture, comfortable bedding, nice carpet & nice living room. Honestly, swimming in the lake & lounging outside was so nice that we spent very little time inside. Excellent vacation spot! Highly recommend!!!!"
