"We just spent several glorious days here, same time as last year. This was a trip worth repeating in order to run the Mt. Desert Island Marathon again. We saw a rather large buck twice, each time out by the road in the area of the apple trees along the split rail fence. We enjoyed taking the canoe out on Hodgdon Pond and paddling around. We discovered a waterfall on the Acadia Park side of the pond and took a little hike in that area. - how stunning! And what a beautiful place to wallk to. So many little pathways and clearing and ponds to explore. If the night sky is clear, the stars are giant saucers splattered just inches above the cottage ) or so it seems). I think the best part is the crisp pine-scented air combined with the autumn kaleidoscope of colors.. A feast for the senses.

"We have been coming to Paul's Cottage for many years. The cottage satisfied a dream we had
for a long time. We have been coming to Maine since the middle 1950's and the idea of
buying a place on the ocean in Maine had become a strong wish but we could never
afford it. Later, with improved financial circumstances, one could contemplate buying a
place in Maine, however, then there was simply not enough time to maintain and worry
about additional property. Paul's cottage is a perfect answer. It is in an absolutely beautiful
location on the water on one of the loveliest places on the East coast. The place is better
equipped with amenities than our house in Newton and best of all, when things age and
break, we find them repaired and often improved the next year. We cannot think of a

"We enjoyed our stay at this clean, private, quiet apartment in a beautiful location. Bass Harbor was a short walk as were some of the National Park sites. There are beautiful views from the private beach. Owners were very friendly and accommodating. All in all, it served us well as a quiet, relaxing home base as we visited may sites on the island. We would definitely stay there again."

"Acadia is an amazing place to vacation and the New Lake House on Long Pond was the perfect place to stay. The house is off the beaten path so we had quiet, saw deer, loons and osprey, but it is located close enough to everything to make outings easy. Clean, comfortable and well stocked, it was also nice to know that the owner was nearby and he even checked in on us via email during our stay. Very nice house, location, owner and vacation! We stayed here with two families, 7 people total, and easily could have had 2 more along... I highly recommend!!"
