"We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. The location was wonderful, away from town and at the quiet end of the lake. There is a sandy beach we walked to in addition to using the sandy beach in front of the cottage
The sandy beach in front of the cottage was perfect for the younger ones. They could use the stairs and play in the shallow water. We could sit in the furnished lawn chairs while the children safely played.
The dock was perfect for the boat we rented from Long Lake Marina. We rented a pontoon boat with tubing equipment. They delivered to the public boat launch. Everyone was very busy with tubing, kayaking and canoeing.
Mornings were very peaceful. We ate breakfast on the deck overlooking the serene water. At night we listened to the loons. A bald eagle swooped down and caught a fish right in front of us. Warblers were singing in the area at the end of the lake, near enough to walk around this area. The sunset was beautiful.
Inside we had all the amenities we needed. The internet worked great for all those who couldn't break away from their electronic devise. The kitchen was nicely furnished so we were able to prepare the limited meals we chose to serve. The fire pit was great for s'mores.
The cottage was clean and everything was in working order. The only suggestion would be for a way to rent linens and towels instead of having to carry these items on airplanes.
One day we went to Storyland in NH. Another outing was to Pie Tree Orchard for Maine maple syrup and fruit picking, but the rest of the time was spent on the lake. We did make a trip to the Gazebo for ice cream daily. Hiking and geocaching in the area were a nice change of pace for those who wanted to do something away from the water.
The owner sent emails with all necessary information, making it easy for us to know what to do and expect. The nearby property manager was friendly and unobtrusive.
Overall, this was a wonderful experience. We hope to return in the future."

"We rented to have a long weekend get away and get some skiing in and this was perfect. Plenty of room, right around the corner from Shawnee Peak, and a great place to relax with the family. We enjoyed the board games and layout of the downstairs for hanging out in the evening. Everything was just as expected. Would like to visit in warmer months so we could enjoy the large decks and views of the lake."

"The Glen House is a magnificent property that should be experienced! We could not have found a better place to celebrate with all of our family and friends. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the Glen House, we made memories that we will never forget. The home is large but it is comfortable and cozy. The elegance and the casual blend seamlessly with the home. The workmanship, décor and layout are among the best I’ve seen. The Glen house owners nailed it with this home and amenities it offers. We are already talking about our next stay at the Glen House!"

Peace and quiet watching the loons and the eagles!
"My husband and I needed a quiet retreat for five nights at the end of August, and we certainly found it here on Crescent Lake in the this cabin. How we enjoyed listening and watching the loon activity. We also saw the two adult eagles squawking and fighting over a fish they had caught, and we took a canoe ride down the lake to see their huge nest. The cabin is just what we were looking for; "campy", but having everything we required for our stay. Kitchen is very well supplied, and the gas grill on the deck was great. How we enjoyed going down to the dock at night to see the stars! This was such a relaxing stay. The fresh flowers that were put in the cabin and at the table on the deck were an extra special touch! Privacy was very much appreciated. We hope to be back again next year. It was just what we needed."
