"My wife and I just finished up 4 days in this lovely home. It is in West Tisbury and away from the touristy area. It is very quiet and secluded and well maintained. There is a small market just a short ride from the home called Cronigs Market. If you need something you can probably find it in this small market. We found fresh produce that was grown right there on the island and a small fresh meat case. The best perk of staying here is that you can use the Lambert's Cove beach. By far the best beach that we visited while we were there. The sand is very soft...we went out there on 2 nights just to watch the sunset....if you get a chance we highly recommend that you do that. If you are looking for some great clam chowder than you have to visit the Martha's Vineyard Chowder Company in Vineyard Haven. For $20 get a quart to go and bring it home. If you are looking for great lobster rolls than the place to visit, and it's only on Fridays from 4:30-7, is The Grace Church on Woodlawn Ave in Vineyard Haven...it is well worth the wait...we got ours to go.
Again the house is nice and very comfortable...thank you Pam for opening it up for us to use. You were very quick in responding to all of our questions. We had a great time and very relaxing time there. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place away from the touristy area but also just a short ride to get there. If we ever get back to Martha's Vineyard we will be sure to rent this place again."

"We loved this cottage. It was exactly the type of lodging we'd envisioned when we were planning our Martha's Vineyard vacation. The location is ideal, and the cottage is attractive, clean and comfortable with all of the modern conveniences. We loved the privacy of the deck and the convenience of being able to grill outside. Also, having laundry facilities, WiFi and excellent air conditioning were all real pluses. The owner, Rita, who happened to be staying the week we were there in the attached unit was so very gracious, helpful and pleasant. All in all, it was the perfect place for us and we hope to stay there again in the near future."

"I stayed at Sandy Feet Retreat with family and friends and there was plenty of room for us all to relax and have fun together, or find quiet time alone. The main house has a very large living room, a dining area with a beautiful, large table, and a very functional kitchen with everything you could need to cook meals together as well as a gas grill outside. There is a screened in porch with couches and chairs as well as an open porch with a double swing overlooking the back yard. There is also a wonderful, large hammock which turned out to be a great spot for an afternoon nap. Back inside the house, there are two bedrooms on the first floor: one with a queen bed and one with 2 single beds and a bunk bed. There is also a full bathroom on the first floor with a fantastic walk in shower. The upstairs has a laundry room, a master bedroom/bathroom that is quite large and wonderfully designed. There is also a queen bedroom also with its own bathroom upstairs. The guest house is very close to the main house so you have privacy, but yet do not feel removed from the the main house. It has an outdoor shower which I used every day, a living room and eat in kitchen on the first floor along with a half bath, and the entire second floor is the bedroom! Both houses are very well appointed, decorated with interesting artwork and items the owner has brought back from her travels, and very clean. I looked at the photos on this site many times in anticipation of my stay, and the houses and yard are even more beautiful in person!! It was wonderful to meet the owner and care taker in person as they are wonderful, friendly people. I can't say enough about how happy we were to stay here, and it is clear that Kati put a lot of thought into the design and decoration of the homes. The location is removed from the main road, but still close enough to walk to Morning Glory Farm or to hop the bus, ride your bike, or even walk to downtown Edgartown. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I will definitely be back!!!"

We LOVED this house!! Can't wait to return to our Vineyard home!
"This house was meant to be for my group of 14 and it was the perfect fit!
This was not my first time to MVY, but my first time renting a house through VRBO abd I was nervous to say the least! I had planned a tril for 18-20 people and our first house was a no go due to drop off. It is hard to find an affordable house for an unusual number of people (13-14) only a week or two away from travel. Luckily, I saw the great reviews for this beautiful blue house and reached out to the owner, who was so accomodating and prompt with responses. Joe was defInitely a delight to work with from start to finish, giving helpful suggestions for travel and once I received the contract I knew that I had made the right choice!
I cannot express enough how perfectly this house is located. Circuit Avenue, with all of the shops, nightlife and restaurants, is literally at the corner and one short block into the scene, but the house is tucked away on its block so you still have peace and quiet. The house is also a five minute walk to the water/beach and maybe a short 10 minute walk to the Ferry. We didn't need a car to get around. My group rented bikes to visit Vineyard Haven and Edgartown and simply walked into town for shopping.
The pictures do not do this house justice at all!! It is absolutely beautiful and well layed out. The huge porch has enough seating for 10 people. We watched the Blood Moon rising on the porch with wine and dinner and a beautiful view. There is a grassy park across from the house as well as a tennis and basketball court. The side of the house has a high quality gas grill and picnic table perfect for a bbq.
There are three different staircases from the main floor leading to the comfortable bedrooms and it is such a pleasant surprise. All the rooms in this house are tastefully decorated with inviting colors. The bedroom on the main floor is my fav. It truly felt like home.
There are two living rooms/living room and den with open space layout and french doors for privacy. The living room is very cozy, with smart tv, cable and dvd player. The den has a built in book case with games and such. We often fell asleep in these rooms and the house is so relaxing that our group of thirtysomwthings were falling asleep before 10pm! The dining room easily seats 15 people we spent a lot of time enjoying meals at the tables and cooking in the grand kitchen. All in all, we LOVED it and will rent again!"
