"We came here for a family vacation with our 3 girls (Age 2,8,11) in late August/early September. The house was nice, the water was clear and the setting very quiet. The girls liked having their own rooms, and having bonfires at night. We stopped at the Tahquamenon Falls on the way there. And found lots to do around the Munising area between the Pictured Rocks National Park, and all the falls in the area. Everyone in our group, highly recommends renting a Pontoon boat to see the pictured rocks from the water. We had one rainy day that we used to take a short trip to Marquette. Lake Superior was not as cold as expected, actually quite nice, so we spent a few days swimming in it. And other days swimming here at Powell Lake.
As a bonus, there was one spot on the Deck that we could often get a AT&T 4G/LTE connection on my phone and were able to leave it in that spot, on the table, in a zip lock bag, and tether to other devices from there!
The house had everything we needed. The beds and furniture were very comfortable, and it was great to have all the extra space to spread out and relax. Not to mention the peace and quiet away from all the others traveling around the Labor Day weekend. It was a great time, and enjoyed by the whole family."
