  • Great house for a family vacation!

"We were happy the house was just as described in the VRBO ad. The house was well equipped, it is in an excellent location, and the owner went out of his way to make our experience a good one. I like working with nice people. We traveled from SC to meet our daughter and her husband, who live in Texas, for a family vacation. We enjoyed the proximity to the water, the casino, and nice restaurants. We had a great time and would recommend the Ivy Vista to other travelers."

  • Great Place for a Family Reunion and Fun!

"What a great family weekend at this location with 25 people sleeping comfortably. Everyone had a blast and I think the house worked out perfect for our group. We enjoyed the river with kayaks and canoes, cooled off in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub. We played billiards at our full bar with our own beer tap till late in the evening and early mornings. We enjoyed the large kitchen for great family meals and gatherings. We celebrated birthdays and tried our luck at the local casinos BUT being around family under one roof was the icing on the cake! The rental process was easy and everyone was so great to work with to set up or weekend. We will for sure visit this location again."

  • Nice, but could use a few things

"Rating Details: I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was happy with the location. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. The property manager was more than helpful. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed the location and general experience at the condo. I was not impressed with the cleanliness, my son (21 months) found tortillas in a drawer of the table that had an expiration date of March 2014, we were there in July. The bed in one of the rooms was really squeaky and the Mattress was horrible.. The toilet was also running the whole time, to where my husband turned off the water so we could sleep. The location was amazing and we loved the pool. I think that next time I'll find a different condo."

  • Exactly what we were looking for

"When we planned our family vacation we had some very specific needs in mind. We wanted someplace where we could relax, swim, and kayak without the need to drive somewhere every day. We wanted enough bedrooms so everyone could have their own private space. And we wanted easy access to Gulfport, the beach, and New Orleans so we could fill our week-long stay with fun activities. River Lookout met our needs and then some. The house was comfortable, well supplied, and beautifully maintained. The beach area and dock were perfect for us. We launched our kayaks directly from the beach and had very enjoyable paddles both upstream and downstream. The dock area was especially nice - the rope swing provided endless entertainment for the young and the not so young. Finally, the hot tub was a great spot for relaxation and conversation even for the warm June evenings. River Lookout served as a convenient home base for excursions to New Orleans, Beauvior, the gator ranch, and some excellent seafood restaurants. Patricia and Grady were very prompt and helpful for all our requests both when arranging our visit and during our stay. We'd love to return!"
