"My family of five stayed here for our summer vacation. We requested the hot tub and crawfish pot be available, and found both in working order when we arrived. The bayou view was beautiful and relaxing. he dock was nice and we were able to catch some fish, blue crabs, and use the provided paddle boat. The other reviews describe the house layout in detail so I will spare you a further description. I will say it was clean and provided just about everything you need for a week stay. This included towels, linens, cooking utensils, dishes, grill, paddle boat, kayak, crab pots, fishing gear, fire ring (get your own wood), movies, dvd player, and washer/dryer. The beach is only a 5 minute drive (with traffic) from the house and numerous restaurants and stores are very close. We found that the beaches were not the greatest in the gulf region (compared to other white sandy beaches so take it with a grain of salt), but we had loads of fun. I would suggest a ferry ride to Ship Island for the day to get a different beach experience and see dolphins. The ferry is only a 15 minute drive from the house. We would stay at this house in a heartbeat if we ever decide to visit Gulfport again. The owners Skipper and Leslie answered all of my inquiries, prior to our arrival, and were very accommodating. We had no reason to contact them during our stay as everything worked fine. I will advise anyone going there to bring your own fishing rods and tackle. The equipment provided seems to get abused by renters and it is easier to bring your own stuff or buy a cheap set from WalMart down the road. But that is definitely to be expected and is not a game changer. One great thing about the neighborhood is they spray for mosquitoes. We were staying on a bayou but only had a few bites between us. You can feel confident that you will get your money's worth from this rental and have a very enjoyable stay. And say "HI" to the little alligator that likes to patrol the lake at night."
