  • It is my new secret home away from home!

"I was fortunate to stay for an extended time at Susan's Cap Sante Cottage this summer. Back to my real life in Colorado now, and I still miss it! The character and charm of the beautifully furnished cottage warmed my soul each day. The town and area activities of Anacortes kept me busy -hiking, biking, kayaking, picking berries, restaurants, festivals, exploring, etc. But it always felt good to get "home" To Cap Sante. Everything I needed was right there, and the weather and home provided me with a memorable retreat. I cannot wait to plan my next visit!"

  • Our Second Stay Here

"Again this year, 4 quilters from San Juan Island rented this vacation home for a mini-retreat (quilting, shopping at the excellent fabric and yarn shops in town, delicious dinner at the Petite Wine Bar, and a trip to the Quilt Museum in La Conner). We had a fabulous time! It's so nice to have a place that sleeps all of us, has cooking facilities, and space to set up our sewing tables. There's plenty of light in the daytime, and we brought Ott lamps for the evening. We would have liked to have a tea pot for boiling our tea water, and a working microwave oven. Hopefully next time. We'd also encourage the owner to get a new cleaning service. Even so, it's such a good location, comfortable, and affordable, we will be back again next year!"

  • Wonderful rental in my home town!

"This property was amazing. I'm originally from Anacortes but now live in England. We came back to visit family and attend two weddings. I grew up out in skyline so I know the area quite well and this location was perfect. The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need. We have two kids (six and three years old) and the abundance of toys that they supplied was like Christmas for our kids. Having deer in the front and back yard made it extra fun for the kids to watch each day. We took the ferry one day out to Lopez and had a great day just exploring. Sitting down at tugboat beach was another hit and we enjoyed seeing whales out in the distant from the beach. If you want a stress free holiday in an amazing home this is it. This will be our number one pick for rentals when visiting our family. Thank you for a wonderful stay."

  • Fantastic location!

"I stayed here as a short term rental and had a great stay. There was plenty of room for living space, nice to have upstairs living space with additional half bath downstairs. Kitchen is equipped with things you need, and a small all-in-one washer/dryer that is available for use for small loads. What really is the thing I appreciated most was the proximity to downtown, you're on a quiet residential street but yet right near restaurants, shopping, etc. Also the access to the owner of the home is very easy if any questions regarding the home by phone. He was prompt, great to work with, and very accommodating."

Anacortes Travel Tips

Enjoy Prime Anacortes Lodging

Anacortes, a city of over 15,000, is in Skagit County Washington on Fidalgo Island. Anacortes is known for being a dock for the state ferries and terminal, as well as for its natural beauty. Surrounded by the San Juan Islands and the Puget Sound, Anacortes is in the Olympic Mountain rain shadow. This means that the weather is milder than other parts of the Pacific Northwest, experiencing only about half as much rain as Seattle. Anacortes is considered a popular place to visit for boating and enjoying the San Juan Islands. Accessible by bridges from the east and south, Anacortes is only an hour and a half north of Seattle. From Anacortes cabins, it's easy to enjoy all the area has to offer.

Enjoying Beautiful Anacortes

The northwestern end of the island features Washington Park, a popular place for boating, camping, and scenic views of the San Juan Islands and Cypress Island. Washington Park also offers hiking, picnic areas and breathtaking views close to Anacortes cabins. Popular activities near Anacortes lodging include kayaking, boating, whale watching, golf, shopping, and hiking. Deception Pass State Park in Rosario Beach is a good place for beginner or intermediate divers. Pass Lake is considered a fisher's heaven. Campbell Lake also has fishing, as well as summertime swimming, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and inner tubing. To view marine life, try the Padilla Bay National Estuary Reserve.

Embark on Northwest Adventure

There is so much to experience in Washington and Canada from Northwest Washington State vacation rentals. Anacortes is an ideal place from which to stage the rest of your Pacific Northwest adventure. Seattle is easily accessible to the south, or take the Washington State ferry to the San Juan Islands or up to British Columbia, Canada. For instance, the Skagit River is a paradise for kayakers and bird watchers, and easily accessible from Anacortes lodging.
