"This place has excellent Energy! Although the decor is a bit dated (1970's), nobody in our group seemed to mind. We LOVED the place. The views are incredible and it is very close to Skyline Marina. I personally stayed in the loft (I snore ;) and it was my favorite part of the house.
My ONLY cautionary note is parking in the driveway. It is extremely steep and requires a bit of mad driving skills. Especially in a big truck with 28 scuba tanks :) I would not recommend this place for anyone with mobility issues, as this place has lots of stairs and a steep landing"

"My family has had the privilege of staying at the Quarterdeck House several times. The owners are incredibly accommodating and have thought of everything. I particularly appreciate that the views, the fact that it is a single story home, but above all else it is always immaculate. Perfect place to stay when visiting Anacortes."

"We've rented homes across this country and this is at the top of our list. Anacortes is a great jumping off point for San Juan Island adventures and staying at this 'cottage' makes it even more desirable. Read the other reviews - I don't want to repeat except to share that these were our favorites about the place:
- Top notch, well-appointed kitchen - a must for those that love to cook like we do.
- Nice wine glasses - seriously, I can't tell you how many places we've rented that don't offer these! There's even other bar ware for you mix-ologists.
- Gorgeous views and private hot tub.
- Comfy beds and a nice shower plus plenty of towels.
- Conveniently located to anything you'd like to do from cycling to hiking and kayaking to shopping.
- So lovely and homey you won't want to leave. A perfect rainy day place to curl up with a good book or your latest art project.
- Nice communications from owner too.
One thing to note (and it totally wasn't an issue for us) is that the bedrooms and main bath are located up a turning victorian house staircase. Good to know if someone in your party has mobility issues."

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely, spacious home. The location is perfect - close to great hiking trails, grocery stores, restaurants, and the ferry. The level of thoughtfulness is off the charts. Extra effort had been made to set the temperature just right and the home provides everything. The house is exceptionally comfortable, with serene views from the dining room windows of Puget Sound and the mountains. We had a thoroughly wonderful time and look forward to our next stay. Many, many thanks."
