The room was cute and the location on the lake was nice but there was no air conditioning and no preparation or concessions for hot days aside from a couple small fans. This room is legitimately in the attic of this building, so it was HOT! When we arrived, the temperature on the wall said our room was 90 degrees, and after running fans for nearly an hour at 10pm, it was still 87 degrees. We ended up driving to Walmart, buying a freestanding AC unit at 11pm at night, and finally getting the room down to a livable temperature after midnight. We also never received the check in instructions or door code from VRBO and had to contact the on-site host and the owner to get into our room late that evening. It’s on the third floor, and the staircase is NARROW so be prepared to haul your stuff up 5 flights of stairs to bake in the attic. We offered the owner to buy the AC unit from us so they’d have a way to cool it for future guests, they opted not to (it was brand new 300), so if there’s going to be warm weather, be prepared to sweat it out. The lake is pretty, but local kids not staying at this venue took over the dock a couple times and made it difficult to enjoy the space. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it for a summer trip, and likely wouldn’t stay here again, even with the AC. The on-site host Tiffani was very nice and responsive, but the property and room overall are showing signs of wear and neglect and need some love.
