Blue Dolphin- Heated Private Pool, Beautiful Home, Close to Beach & Intracoastal

Our Blue Dolphin Beach Retreat is located in a popular beach neighborhood with off-beach parking or drive-on beach access. It's near shopping, restaurants and the intracoastal. The heated pool is located just off the living room. The downstairs master suite has a large walk-in closet, walk-in shower and bathtub. The house has one large television in the living room and one in the master bedroom with Wi-Fi.

The 2.5-story high cathedral ceilings give the home a very open and bright, airy feeling.
The living room fireplace offers a magnificent focal point. The large front kitchen wing has two expansive dining areas, stainless appliances, granite countertops, tall cabinets, and a breakfast bar.

The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill.

The house is located 12 minutes from downtown and just a short drive to the beach. Our beautiful beach offers access to 4x4 vehicles and public free parking. There are bicycles for rent, as well, nearby. Butler Beach, where this house is located, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Florida. It’s an expansive white powder beach! You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! St. Augustine city center, only 10 minutes north, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. You can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop til you drop! You will want to return year after year! Make sure to head downtown to go on one of our Ghost Tours or to grab a bite to eat at our buzzing restaurant district on the water. Afterwards, return to the quiet beach neighborhood where you can stargaze the night away!

Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.

The pool heater thermostat is set to a temperature between 78 and 85 degrees F, depending on the time of the year. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.

Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.

The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.

Quiet hours are 10pm - 9am and the pool equipment will shut off during that time. We don't mind if you are in the pool and backyard during quiet hours, we kindly request that our guests be respectful of the neighbors. The neighbors may call the county and complain if guests are being noisy past 10 pm (county noise ordinance). We rarely get complaints from the neighbors, but if we do, we want to be able to tell our guests that there are designated quiet hours.

We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
