    Enjoyed our stay! Trish was a lovely host — helpful and friendly. The location was perfect — a quick walk up the path to the train station and a nice 20 min walk to Portobello Beach.

    Quiet location, close to train and bus

    The studio had everything we needed for our stay. It is within walking distance of the beach by neighborhood or a sweet footpath located across from the studio that winds along a stream and under a canopy of entertwined trees.

    Beautiful little flat as a good starting point to discover Edinburgh

    We spent a few days in Trish's apartment. The communication in advance as well as the handover of the keys worked without any problems. When we arrived, Trish immediately gave us some directions and described the way to the beach, which, depending on the route, is about a 20-minute walk away. This gave us the opportunity to end the day at Portobello Beach after a long day in the city and without a long walk home. The flat itself was fully equipped, as was the kitchen. So cooking was also possible without any problems. The flat is in a quiet location, so you were not disturbed by city noise. However, a small hint for people who are very sensitive to noices: The house in which the flat is located is kind of badly soundproofed - but everything is within reason. We arrived without a car and therefore had to rely on public transport to get to the city centre, which was no problem. A train and several bus stops are within walking distance. We had a really nice time in Edinburgh! :)

    Well located,comfortable,quiet,safe and everything we needed!

    We stayed a week,with a car. However,the train and busses are very close by. It was actually easier to catch the train to Edinburgh than to drive. Very centrally located for walking into Portobello or the large market near by. Nice walking path right across the street and Musselburgh is close by ( we drove). Absolutely perfect for us. ( And we had a place to park the car). We hope to return! Many thanks.

    Stayed for 5 days, great location with easy access to nearby beaches as well as Edinburgh city centre. Nice little apartment, nicely decorated with a cosey feel.

    Stay at Brunstane

    Nice quirky place to stay ,lots nice bits pieces. It is very compact as it states . Not easy to find , 30 min walk at least to nearest restaurant or bar down a very pretty path by a burn . Dont go here if you dont like walking, need car for everything or a taxi . It is hour walk to beach ....... ......all in all nice break and weather was tremendous which helps spend my day on Portobello beach . The Portobello Beach Bistro food is amazing well worth a visit on West sands .Trish host is friendly and always about

    Great spot for an Edinburgh visit

    Five minutes out of the city by train with train station a five minute walk away, and parking for a car if needed. Nice quiet spot with walking trails across the road. The apartment has lots of homely touches and is nicely decorated. One room, set out as kitchenette, sleeping area, and sitting/dine with patio doors opening out to the street. Separate shower and toilet. Very clean and Trish, the owner, who lives above, is very helpful. Would certainly stay here again.

    Lovely flat in a quiet street.

    Nice place for 2 people. If you like it quiet and stressfree. You can go for long nice walks in the area, or get on the train just 5 minutes walk away, and go in to town center. LOVELY Thank's Trish for this lovely place.

    Petit nid douillet - Small cozy nest

    Situé dans une rue très clame, avec facilité de parking et à proximité des transports en commun, nous avons apprécié la gentillesse de la propriétaire et avons trouvé tout le confort et ce qu'il faut pour un agréable séjour. Located in a very clam street, with easy parking and close to public transport, we appreciated the friendliness of the owner and found in this studio all the comfort and what it takes for a pleasant stay.

    A cosy place in a great location.

    Warm and cosy and very clean with everything you need. Trish even supplies a few little cooking extras; herbs, sauces etc. which is great when you're travelling. There's a lovely stream opposite this quiet street and a pathway alongside which takes you to shops and local beaches. It's a short walk to the railway station and about a 7minute ride into Edinburgh.

    Apartamento pequeñito pero con todo lo necesario.

    La estancia estuvo muy bien, la anfitriona ( Trish ) muy amable y el apartamento, aunque pequeñito. tenía todo lo necesario. Muy cerca se encuentra la estación de tren que comunica rápidamente con Edimburgo. Lo recomendamos sin ninguna duda.

    Great stay

    Very quiet, clean, well maintained cosy flat. The listing description is accurate. Well located: little riverway to go to the seafront or to the bus/train station. 20 minutes by bus to the city centre, 5 minutes on the train. I would recommend it to a friend.

    Great escape!!

    My Partner and I wanted a relaxing, cheap break for a couple of days and stumbled on this little diamond in the rough! Its not huge, but not small, its quirky style and well used space makes it feel like a home away from home. Its so close to the bustling centre of Edinburgh, yet only a five minute train ride away, so you still get a little rural with your stay in the big city. There is also a handy 24 hour asda very close by for those little things like milk and bread. I would reccommend sensible shoes for your trip, because there is alot of walking involved, and the last thing you want is to be traipsing around with sore feet! We really enjoyed our stay with Trish, she made us feel very welcome, gave a great orientation and has information for everything in a handy folder and thousands of leaflets for places to go. Thanks very much x

    Nice easter holidays

    The flat is very clean and big enough for two persons. The most time you stay out. Its only 10 minutes walk to the beach with a nice promenade. Its possible to go to the city per bus or train. The bus cost a little bit more and takes longer to the city. With the train its only 6minutes to the city. Trish is very friendly. A nice trip to Edinburgh. Nochmal auf deutsch: Sehr saubere, kleine Ferienwohnung. Ist ausreichend für 2 Personen. Zum Strand sind es 10min zu Fuß. Dort ist eine sehr schöne strandpromenade und ein nettes Restaurant (sehr leckeren Fisch und Steak). In die Stadt kann man per Bus oder Bahn. Der bus ist etwas teurer und braucht länger (25min). Mit dem Zug sind es 6min bis ins Zentrum. Wir empfehlen eine Tour in eine Whisky destillerie und anch Loch Ness in die Highlands.
