1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4
When you stay at Hatcher Mountain Getaway, you can revel in the serenity of nature while still enjoying pampering amenities and proximity to local attractions. And though the 1-bedroom log cabin is ideal for a honeymoon or other romantic escape, because it can sleep up to 4 people, it’s suitable for a vacation with the kids too. Hatcher Mountain Getaway even has your own private sauna.
Because a good night’s sleep is crucial to getting the most from a vacation, let’s explore Hatcher Mountain Getaway’s luxurious master suite first. Spacious and beautifully decorated, with lustrous wood-planked walls and a beamed ceiling, the room boasts a king-size 4-poster bed you’ll love lazing on. On chilly winter evenings the gas fireplace will bathe the room in golden warmth; on warm summer nights the breeze of the ceiling fan will lull you to sleep.
The en-suite bathroom is just as pampering. When you return home from skiing, hiking, or exploring Dollywood, you’ll want to make a beeline to the large jetted tub; the massaging jets of steamy water will feel so fabulous. The bathroom shares the bedroom’s fireplace, which only adds to the relaxation. There’s a generously sized (and beautifully tiled) shower as well, along with his-and-her sinks.
You might want to spend your entire stay lounging and lazing in the master suite (and we don’t blame you!). The rest of Hatcher Mountain Getaway is just as lovely and relaxing, however. The great room features a towering vaulted ceiling and a double-height wall of windows that look out toward the Smoky Mountains. The roll-arm sofa converts to a queen-size bed; it’s also a comfy spot to watch a movie on the flat-panel 42” TV with Blu-ray player and cable. The great room has its own fireplace, as well as a roomy armchair for curling up with a book or surfing the web via the free WiFi.
The great room encompasses the kitchen and dining area. Whether your culinary skills are basic or advanced, you’ll find all the appliances you need, from refrigerator/freezer to microwave, coffeemaker to blender, oven to dishwasher. You’ll find a charcoal grill outside too, so you can satisfy your craving for barbecue. The elegant counter seats 4, in impressively comfortable leather-upholstered armchairs.
Should you want to escape for some private time, head upstairs to the den. It has its own TV, so you can watch one program while everyone watches another downstairs, and the view from its window is transportive.
When you really want to surround yourself with nature, go outside to Hatcher Mountain Getaway’s deck. Stretching the width of the cabin, it has plenty of chairs and chaises from which you can revel in the crisp mountain breeze, the singing of wrens in the morning and whip-poor-wills at night, and the sight of falcons soaring over the mountaintops.
When you want to hike among the mountains, you can drive to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park; a relatively unknown entry to the park is just 10 minutes from the cabin. Hatcher Mountain Getaway is also close to Waldens Creek Stables, where in addition to riding horses you can fish in a large stocked pond and enjoy a Wild West cookout and show. And within a half-hour’s drive are Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, and downtown Gatlinburg, home to thrill rides, arcades, the Guinness World Records Museum, and a tram that carries you over the town to Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area.
Whether it’s romance, relaxation, family fun, or nonstop action you want—or all of the above—Hatcher Mountain Getaway will deliver. Make your reservation today, and get ready for your best vacation yet.

The cabin was very clean and comfortable.
The cabin was as advertised; very clean and comfortable. We will definitely consider staying here on future trips to this area.
Great place to stay
The view was beautiful! The shower is awesome! The layout is great an very peaceful for a couple. Will defiantly come back again
Good location to Gatlinburg, pigeon forge, Cades cove. Spacious. Hot water didn’t last very long and the bed took a little getting used to as it was a very firm memory foam. Otherwise it was the perfect getaway. Other cabins are near but we were the only ones staying so it was very peaceful
Thank you Samantha for sharing your thoughtful review. We glad you enjoyed the peace of the mountains. We look forward to having you stay with us again on your next visit to our area.
Great place. Looks as advertised. Will come back again.
Only suggestion would be to get some sharp knives for kitchen and a new non stick pan. We cooked dinner every night and some higher quality knives and pans would have been nice.
Great for a weekend away
This cabin had everything my wife and I needed. It was far enough away to still feel like the mountains but close enough to PF night life. Only thing missing was a shower door.
Perfect size cabin for a couple
Great Cabin! Only draw back would be, the cabin next to us, the parents could not control their children so be prepared to be up by 6:30am / 7am at the latest.
Thank you Vickie for sharing your comments with us. We apologies that the neighboring cabin was noisy and took away from the peace of the mountains. We hope you will stay with us again on your next trip to the Smokies!
