My husband and I made a spur of the moment decision to go on a little getaway for our anniversary. We’ve both always wanted to stay in a cabin at the Poconos during the winter, so it was a no brainer for us that that’s where we were going. My husband came across Mt. Maplewood Lodge when searching for a place for us to stay, and we knew immediately that’s where we wanted to stay, and we are so glad we did. It was the cutest, coziest cabin. We enjoyed everything about it. One of our favorite things about it was the hot tub. It was perfect for these cold, snowy nights. The game room was also really cool. The host, Ricky, was super sweet. We really appreciated the guidebook he made, which had everything you could think of, from places to eat, activities to do, places to shop, etc. It was extremely helpful for us, because we’ve never been to the Poconos before, and since this trip was so last minute, we didn’t have time to plan anything out ahead of time. Just everything about our stay was perfect. We were so sad when we had to leave. We definitely plan on staying here again.

The host was very thorough. The house was perfect! We played pool, went in the hot tub, and made s’mores. Close to shopping areas. Not far from Kalahari. Went with 4 teenagers boys and they enjoyed being outdoors throwing the football around. We had pizza and ice cream in town. Will definitely reserve again!!!

The house was great. It’s very close to everything. Our family loved the pool table, pac man and hot tub:) the owner is super responsive and very helpful with anything that you need. I would def recommend this property to other families.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin lodge! It’s perfect for families, very clean, peaceful, and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit in the evenings, and the fully stocked kitchen made meal prep so easy. There was plenty of entertainment and games to keep everyone happy. Lots to do around the area as well! Communication with Ricky was excellent. He was responsive, helpful, and made the whole process smooth. Thank you Ricky! Highly recommend for a relaxing and fun getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mt Maplewood lodge! It was 2 (2 for one night) adults and 1 infant. The cabin was very cozy and we felt very comfortable there. We spent the days on the deck or going to local wineries and what not, and the evenings in the game room and hot tub, which we loved! The host/property manager Ricky was super communicative and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again! A couple minor things to note (doesn’t take away from my 10/10 rating!)- Ricky runs a tight ship, and I would too in his shoes! Be prepared to fill out some additional paperwork and get familiar with all the rules. I just wish everything was in one place, I was clicking around different documents and apps to make sure I understood everything. - There was a crib and pack n play available for use, we didn’t open the pack n play since we brought our own. The crib didn’t look very usable but we didn’t look at it too closely.

Ricky was great & his house was the same. We had a very last minute booking because of our previous plans having a house flood. Ricky was accommodating the entire way & gave us all the information needed plus an entire guide on what to do in the surrounding area. It was within a ten minute drive to Walmart & the grocery store (when of course we forgot something), a close ride to Lake Harmony where we took a boat tour & he recommended the chai at Maplewood. We had it all weekend! My family loved the pool table, hot tub, fire pit & cornhole. The large dining room table & sofa was also a major plus with 7 adults. Highly recommend staying & taking time to enjoy all the amenities right at the house! Thank you again for helping save our dad's birthday celebration!

Girls Weekend

We had an awesome girls weekend at Mt. Maplewood Lodge. It’s beautiful, house and location, plenty of space and well stocked. It was a great place for game night, naps when the weather was dreary and getting out when the weather was nice. Ricky does a great job of covering everything you need to know and answering any questions. Highly recommend.

Place is ok

The house was ok. It is well worn which doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t the cleaning staff does a very good job. House is very big, but on 3 different levels.The hot tub was one of the things we were really looking forward to. It has no lift bar on the hot tub cover and we had to manually remove it, which weighs an absolute ton!! Not something you want to have to do when you are getting out of a hot tub wet. It rained the whole time and it comes through the porch from above onto you while in the tub. Kind of gross.The house backs up to a very busy highway. Makes for a lot of noise when you are there to relax. Have to be cautious with dogs.The house has a nice babbling brook.The trash cans were a pain. We couldn’t figure out how to open the bear proofing, so we had to yank out a disgusting smelling can from the enclosure and then wrestle it back in. That honestly sucked and if I knew that I would have happily paid the 3 for the trash bag to stay.The king bed was uncomfortable. Didn’t try out the rest of the beds.Overall we had fun. The house is more like camping indoors.

Fun family staycation

Two families, including four children, enjoyed a memorable three-day stay at the lodge. Despite the rain, the experience was nothing short of amazing—we found everything we needed right on the property. Perfect Mountain Lodge Getaway

The cabin had something for everyone in our family. We loved spotting the deer in the yard, and watching the snow fall while cozy in the covered hot tub. The host is very accommodating and we would be glad to rent again.

Perfect Lodge Getaway

Our family of four enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the lodge. It has a fairytale cabin vibe and a wooded setting. The cabin is super clean, has everything you need and convenient to all the poconos attractions. We went go-carting and to the outlets. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend Ricky’s home!

Great time was had by all!

We were extremely pleases with our stay at Mt. Maplewood Lodge. Wonderful light, incredible views, lovely creek... and wildlife to entertain. The house was extremely well-appointed, and our host was very specific about what to expect. We enjoyed the large deck, where we convened for our morning coffee. While we didn't use the hot tub, it was tempting. The beds were comfortable; there was plenty of room to spread out, but we were mostly happy to gather in the great room and enjoy the views and fresh air. Thanks for a wonderful week of family fun and togetherness.

Quick getaway

We stayed at the Mt. Maplewood Lodge while visiting family who live in the area. The house is exactly as pictured! We enjoyed the large table for games and the kids loved the basement game room and hot tub. Everything was clean and well kept. Ricky was very communicative and left no questions unanswered. Check in and check out were smooth. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone heading to the Poconos. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for having us!

Perfect getaway

Ricky was a great host! He preemptively informed me of all I needed to know about the property and procedures. Very thorough and on top of things! The place was very clean and my friends, pets, and I really enjoyed the porch and outdoor fire pit. It’s very homey and private, but not far away from basic necessities. You definitely get that lodge vibe, without feeling stuck. There’s a booklet with everything you need to know in case you forget anything and it has suggestions for what to visit nearby! Best stay I’ve had by far! Would definitely book again!

Definitely as described

Cozy comfortable clean. Great lodge. We stayed two nights. Four adults and two little kids (under 5). Kids played downstairs and outside. Fire pit and S’mores loved by all.

Summer vaca

Nice different vacation from the beach. Hot tub was fun and the balcony is great. I only recommend the kids take the king size bed on the top floor, since the 2nd bathroom is outside the queen rooms.

Family weekend getaway

Cute little lodge tucked in a quiet community within walking distance to Lake Naomi. Property was clean, well stocked and communication with Ricky the owner was great! Beds were comfortable and water pressure was good in both showers. Close drive to shopping, restaurants, hiking and activities. Our teen boys loved the game room. The pool table was a big hit as was the Pac Man game and vintage Sega/Nintendo gaming system. They also enjoyed playing chess, cornhole and connect 4 on the giant board. We all enjoyed the firepit area and hot tub. We also made good use of the grill. A perfect way to unwind for Spring Break!

Needed Family Time

We had an amazing stay. It was just what we needed. All 5 of us stayed for 3 days 2 nights. My girls range in age from 16 to 8. We enjoyed the beauty of the area. Hiking, snow tubing and water park. None even asked to use an iPad. The home was beautiful and well maintained. We played games, pool, listened to music and just spent uninterrupted time together. Something that is hard to do with the daily bustle of our lives. Thank you to our hosts for an amazing stay. We would most certainly return.

Hello, my name is Ricky, I’m a designer from New Jersey and manage Mt. Maplewood Lodge for our family. I am an area alliance affiliate through Poconos Vacation Rental Owners for Rent Responsibly and train owners as an Owner Training Ambassador.

I grew up in upstate NY, lived in NYC for 15 years then moved to Maplewood with my family. We also have family in the Poconos and love enjoying what every season has to offer, but in the summer we also love to be on the lake. We are 5 extended families that use our homes yearly and share them when we not vacationing. There is so much to do every season from skiing, golfing and waterparks, to sailing, concerts and biking or tennis. We will give you access to our Mt. Maplewood Lodge site that has year round activities listed and updated seasonally.

What sets us apart from other vacation rentals is our attention to your vacation experience. We will personally help you plan your area activities, coordinate a chef or massage therapist
