The Bell House is a 1924 bungalow that has been completely remodeled and updated in 2017 to provide a relaxing atmosphere close to the amenities of Fredericksburg, yet tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The property is conveniently located 2 blocks from Main Street and Highway 290. Guests are less than a two-minute drive to the downtown shopping areas, as well as easy access to wineries and vineyards.

The property features a modern kitchen with a large island and separate coffee bar, stainless appliances, and farm sink. The open-concept kitchen and living area lend itself to casual entertaining and conversation. The sun room/dining area has a table for 6 that overlooks the deck and backyard. Original hardwood floors flow throughout the home. The backyard is spacious, fenced for privacy, and has a large deck with patio furniture and a fire pit with seating for six.

The two bedrooms have a queen-size bed and two twin beds. There is also a full-size air mattress if needed. The bathroom has a full-size tub/shower combination.

In addition to WiFi, cable television and streaming services are available.

The property features original paintings, photography, and artwork of Texas artists. Information is available if interested in purchasing or personally contacting the artist or photographer.

A self check-in system with a permanent lock box will personally accommodate guests' arrival times. Guests have access to the entire property and the owners live off site for maximum privacy. The home is within walking distance to a convenience store, doughnut/pastry shop, barbecue take-out (breakfast tacos/lunch), several fast food establishments, and a laundromat.

Perfect stay!

The house was perfect for our group of 4 for a girls' trip. Very comfortable, clean, beautifully decorated and you can't beat the location close to town! Great hosts as well!

The listing was accurate, and the house is conveniently located near the main street. The only suggestion would be to install a brighter front porch light, as we had to use our cell phone flashlight to see where we were walking when entering the property. However, I would recommend this property to others.

Quick Spring Break Getaway

Our family enjoyed staying at this property for our short Spring Break trip to Fredericksburg. Interior was very nicely done, especially the kitchen. Big backyard and fire pit gave our kids lots of room to run around and make s'mores. Our hosts were very accommodating and generous.

Girls Shopping Weekend

Three ladies stayed Friday - Sunday and truly enjoyed our time in Fredericksburg. We shopped, went to a winery, enjoyed the firepit in the backyard, ate good food, relaxed and wished we could of stayed a little longer! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

I loved staying at this we remodeled vintage house. It felt like staying at my grandmother's home only more modern. Very cosy and homey. I stayed with my s-i-l and there was plenty of room for each of us and privacy. My stay was in May and I enjoyed the birds singing around the house.

Perfect for Fredericksburg

On average, we are enjoying Fredericksburg’s wineries about every 8 months….for years. We like to stay at various properties and this sweet house on Bell Street is absolutely amazing. Not only is it immaculate but it’s charm is unbeatable. The kitchen is perfect and the hosts are fab! We definitely would recommend and…we might just have to stay here again!

Great for a Girls Weekend

The Bell house was great for a quick girls weekend. It a little further from the Main Street action than we had wanted, but we decided to walk anyway so we didn't have to worry about parking and could enjoy some drinks without having to worry about driving. It was a beautiful day to walk and enjoy from sights of Fredericksburg. They have a fully stocked coffee bar. We had most things we needed to make simple breakfast. My only complaint was that the shower didn't get very hot, but other than that everything was wonderful! I would highly recommend and visit again.

Tired and missing a hot tub

The listing clearly stated there was a hot tub… and there was not one. (This was important to us). Have stayed somewhere else if I had known this was misrepresented. Also, the photos are from a few seasons ago when the paint was fresh. (For what you were paying I think this matters… There are many other properties within this price range). Also, the house is made of wood and it rained nearly the entire weekend which really made the home have a musty smell… That’s not some thing the owners can fix because it is an old house… But if someone has a sensitivity. You should be aware of this.. The home was clean… But I think the fact there is only one bathroom would make me shy away from having more than two people at this location. The home was also very dark inside with minimal lighting.

The Bell House is located in a very quiet neighborhood - on the edge of downtown. We had to reach out to the host upon our arrival and had an immediate response. The house is absolutely stunning, updated and stocked with everything you might need. .There was an amazing coffee bar that lacked nothing. The beds were so comfortable and everything smelled fresh & clean. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return. You will not be disappointed. We were surprisingly shocked when we opened the front door.

Wonderful and thoughtful stay

The home is adorable. We loved how comfortable everything was. The enclosed porch made for a great time drinking wine while protected by the weather! The best part was how thoughtful the owners were. From the complimentary chocolates, to the bottle of wine to the to go coffee cups they left for us to enjoy. Would stay here again
